Last year mgp had your attention but in `07 I`m definately torn between the two .I mean just look at Troy`s comeback from injury v`s the Le Mans excitement of a few weeks ago.WSBK is no longer the poor relation of MGP!!BUT ,wouldn`t it all be better without that traction control, like Vale said -"it should come from the wrist".

a few years ago i think in uk most people were following wsb now motogp is more popular and is without doubt the better series for excitement and for watching the best riders.

traction control has found its way into both series now and it definitely has lowered the gap between the good riders and the very best riders. however traction control makes it safer and allows the riders to set quicker lap times. it has good and bad points.

traction control.........hmmmmmm i'll get back to ya on this drill. it's good & bad... more bad i think tho

as far as the GP to WSBK popularity goes, i think GP has definitely overtaken since about 2003, due to 4 strokes and Rossi making the sport appeal more easily to the masses. Although superbike racing has gotten better and is currently the best its been since Edwards left, i think the rise of motogp makes the series look weaker than it did in the past and for me makes it almost redundant.

Well it depends a lot on which countries are you considering. Probably you guys in England are very interested in WSBK because of Toseland and what Fogarty did in the past.

In Spain we don't give a .... about WSBK. There's a race, and you get a quarter of the attendance of the MotoGP race and that's giving out free tickets. Very few people would pay anything to see a WSBK race here.

Globally I think MotoGP is much bigger than WSBK.

Superbikes need more of the better tracks and a few more rounds as well. It's a good series but MotoGp is the pinnacle of motorcycling and is therefore the best.

Your opinions count, folk, but to me it just seems that WSBK is providing more closer racing at the moment with EVERY round, where as in MGP it`s now and again BUT this does do the swings and roundabouts thing also.Anyway, pro`s and con`s for traction control......

Pro's - Its safer, it allows more riders to extract more from their machinery and allows the riders to concentrate on race craft and the battles we love so much, it is the future.

Cons - it looks less exciting, it removes a little bit of skill, it allows so many riders to get close to the actual limit of what can be done that the racing can be stale (see jerez 07).

Is world superbike the series where they race bikes you see at track days.
YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Electronic aids killed F1 lets hope it doesn't kill bike racing!

Both WSBK and MotoGP have their good points. I just look at it as similar to open wheel racing cars and touring cars. One is all about precision and very high speed and the other is all about banging doors and hard core close racing.

There is definitely a place for both IMO.

Thats what I`m getting worried about.Electronic aids have already done to much damage to what were once exciting races in F1.

At the moment WSBK is more competitive, more riders are fighting for the win as opposed to 2 in Moto gp.

Erm...that hit it on the head.
