hello

being the nerd i am - i've got quite a collection of signed knee sliders that i've collected over the years.

i've got quite a few - including Nicky Haydens
<
, Troy Corsers, Chris Walkers, Kiyonaris, Neil Hodgson, Leon Haslam to name but a few and i've spent a lot of time (you wouldn't beleive it) and money to get them

but - what's the most you've ever paid/the greatest lengths you've gone to, for a bit of motorcycling history ?

personally, there's not much i wouldn't do for one of mr rossi's but.....

just recently - i've seen a hayden slider sold on e-bay for £140+ and there's a store near me with a signed & framed Rossi slider for...........

wait for it........

£490
<

frankly - that's ridiculous.

that is to much money. i dont collect anything like that but i studied motorcycle mechanics at merton collage in london and while i was there i pulled apart a carb that was off the late great barry sheens bike,or one of them. i was very tempted to steal it,but i didn't.

490... i have'nt a pound sign..... damn thays like almost $900!!!! nope could think of alot of things i could get for that chunk of change.

<
£490 !? Does that get you a pair? LOL!
Hmmm..I'll use and sign one for you for free if you like!!
Not quite the same thing though huh?

I would Pay almost a house for a Rossi M1 or NSR or RC211V etc... I made a post about this kinda stuff in lounge or a Race used Helmet or leathers would be awsome too

Yeah, but theres a bit more to a whole GP bike than a kneeslider. The 990s are probably worth more than a house straight outta the factory, anyway, Regardless of who rides them. Unless it's DePuniet or Stoner and it comes back in 500 pieces

I got a black eye from Anthony Fania during a paddock fight in an 8 hour endurance race. Anthony Fania is the guy that crashed Aaron Yates out of the lead in the 2002 Daytona 200 and also crashed again last year at Daytona and was noticed giving the crowed and Micheal Barnes the "bird". He got a couple of cracked ribs and a hurt wrist from one of my teamates for free also.

Does any of this count?
