Montoya blowing his career big time.

Naa, Montoya is better in Indy racing, he's way more consistent and more appreciated. De La Rose is always questionable for me... but I won't judge him until I see him in a McLaren.

I agree with Montoya being better at Indy... However, dela Rosa would be the most eligible driver to gain the nod of the team. Between him and Gray Paffett, he performs better as per practices and testing.

I agree, and it will only be for the remainder of the season anyway, before Alonso steps in.

I heard Lewis Hamilton may get the seat next year as long as Kimi signs elsewhere. That sound right?

Maybe yeah, I can't see Raikonnen leaving just yet though, him and Alonso teamed would be unstoppable.

Yeah, forgot to mention Jag, he is a nice guy yes and show lots of dedication. I'm glad he's got a good drive, wether he'll perform or not is another matter.

De la Rosa debuted in Arrows in 1999 scoring a point in his first ever race. He did pretty well in that car.
Then he moved on to Jaguar, where he spent 2 seasons with Eddie Irvine as teammate, his second year was quite bad, the car kept breaking and Ford was already dismantling the team.
He failed to get a team in 2002 so he became McLaren test driver in 2002. He has been in that role until today. He got the chance to drive the McLaren once last year in Bahrain due to Montoya's "tennis" injury.
De la Rosa outqualified Kimi in that race and set the fastest lap of the race, ending in 5th position.

I'm happy he got this chance, it's the first time in he's driving a good car. He is 35 y old so he better do very well because if not it will be the end of his days as an active F1 driver.

If he`s 35 now then he must have been 28 when he first drove F1, according to your info Teo.

I dunno, maybe I`m just used to motorcycle racers, but talk about a late bloomer

That's correct Drill. And if rumors are true, IRL media queen Danica Patrick may be joining him. Big doings happening in NASCAR. I might actually watch a little of next year's action to see how JPM stacks up in comparison.

It's such a shame as Juan Pablo Montoya is actually a great driver. It's like Colin Edwards he's good but doesn't seem to be getting a seat. He has his on days whereas he has his off days (more now than he ever has had) but he's probably just going through a sticky patch at the moment.

Colin`s got a pretty good seat now

Question is, can he keep it?

I'm not planning on watching an entire race. I can't watch that crap for more than a half hour. But I'm really interested to see how JPM does.
