RR News - NW200: McGuinness set to miss TT after Superbike spill

John McGuinness has sustained a suspected broken leg after a spill during Superbike qualifying at the Vauxhall International North West 200.
An official update from the Honda Racing team said the Morecambe man was 'conscious and going to hospital with a suspected broken leg'.
McGuinness is now set to miss the Isle of Man TT, leaving Guy Martin as the sole representative in the official Honda squad.

....., that bad news for John. McPint has been at the TT like what seems forever, great rider and top man too...

Gutted for John, but glad it's "only" a broken leg. Ryan Farquhar is still recovering from injuries at last yrs NW and it's most likely career ending for him.

I've just finished reading Johns autobiography, it's a great read, the experience that man has is incredible and it's sad to think that most people these days just associate him with the TT. This is a man who has put a bike in the points in a couple of 500GP races as a wildcard beating grand prix winners like Alex Barros and Garry McCoy, has been a British champion on the short circuits, a regular front runner in Supersport and Superstock, won at the NW200, won at the Ulster GP, won at Macau, won the Scarborough Gold Cup and has several AMA wins at Daytona all while enjoying a few too many pies and pints.
