I'm taking a serious point here that maybe Rossi not being the dominant force is good for us the fans?
How many of us would have liked if Rossi would have stayed at Honda and won from 01-06?
With these new talents coming through from WSBK and 250 maybe we have new superstars in the making? I'm sure none of you thought in Rossi's rookie year that he would go on to become a 5 time champ...I didn't think Stoner would..but his form suggests that he might.
He's the same as Rossi, crashy rookie year and flashes of brilliance, and now look where he is in his second year.
Discuss.
With the 800s and the new tyre regulations its had an effect on all the teams but ducati have got it spot on. I dont necessarily think Stoner will be the one to dominate totally because i personally dont see it in him. In terms of riders i think Hopkins is one to watch. Apparently the Suzukis are going to have something very special at Mugello. Coming up from the 250s Lorenzo is good hes got the drive, determination and the talent. I definately dont think we've seen the end of Rossi but there are other riders improving quickly.

And the word underdog was used as an association with the one not most likely to win: Stoner is increasingly heading towards most likely to win.
I dont understand how u can say that 5 races in. When the michelins become better it could change everything.
