Bad news and good news in one stroke. On one hand, it sucks that Marc can't simply stay healthy for more than 6 races nowadays, although it's better for him to take it slowly than taking the 2020 approach; on the other hand, his replacement is extremely interesting. I always felt that Lecuona was dealt a bad hand, his jump to MotoGP was too hasty —as it was his dismissal— and he did have some competitive results on a crap KTM bike. Let's see how he does on the RC211V.

Think you mean the 213V right? I think the 211 was replaced by the 212 in 2007, which in turn was replaced by the 213 in 2012.

That said, I'd ....... LOVE to see the V5 211V back on the grid!

I saw some click bait / skuttlebutt (did not read) about Mir and Rins swapping positions. Seems this might be a good time to let Alex ride in Repsol colors and put Iker on the LCR machine.

Lets see what happens in a few races. One good result at a track he is arguably most dominant at save Marc is not a gauge I want to use right now to condemn Mir.

I think Mir has had enough chances. He managed to win a championship in a most unusual year where race to race performances across the grid, were all over the place. He was the only one that year who consistently got good results and got the championship despite one race win. He is yet get another win despite his teammate having done so repeatedly. I've given Mir a lot of slack in terms of my enthusiasm towards him as a racer and potential front runner. However, at this point, my expectations aren't at all high. I have more hope for Morbidelli. :) The level of competitiveness on the grid is super high.

Have they got tired of watching Bradl riding around at the back of the pack so are trying someone else?

Personally I'm glad, will be nice to see another rider get a chance.

Lecuona deserves another shot, though Vierge is probably not particularly pleased as he is leading Honda's WSBK campaign with 49pts to Lecuona's 33pts.

Iker did more in the GP paddock than his teammate, but he's not shown much this year in WSBK.

Guess we wont be seeing innovations like the V5 anymore...

I'm still waiting for a 750 2-stroke!
I'd love to see a 750 2-stroke but it won't help sales though the win on Sunday sell on Monday has long gone. The regs are such that no one will field a 4 stroke of less or more than 4 cylinders

Exactly, but this is one reason all these ........ things like squat devices have sprung up. The Spec ECU, set number of cylinders etc has constrained the manufacturers so much in terms of engine design and development mean they have to look elsewhere for advancement.
