Marquez crashes nearly every weekend in practice and/or qualifying. Marquez crashes in qualy yesterday.

Kevin McGee logic - championship pressure is getting to Marquez.

Really disappointed about Luthi. Solid player. And this is a sorry way to lose the Championship.

(No spoiler, JohnnyKnockdown, because it isn't a result of a race. So the Moto2 and Moto3 sections can continue to be filled with your posts.)

Someone here pointed out that MM always tests the limits. With his extraordinary skill that means crashing and saving and moving on at a limit most have never even thought about attempting.

I'm interested to see if there's going to be any riders trying to impede Marquez in order to help Dovi - seems like it has been a while since Iannone torpedoed someone?

Same here. While I thought Morbidelli was going to win the championship, I was looking forward to the moto2 race today as with a championship on the line, it would have made it a lot more exciting for myself personally to watch the race

So, did Dorna script this race and give the top four a bonus for playing correctly? One more to go. Amazing year.

Lorenzo looked pissy when he mentioned about not pushing once Dovi got in front of him.

Another well managed race by Dovi. Done everything he had to to keep the title race going to Valencia. Couldn't hoped for a better outcome really, bar an MM DNF.

Great race by George as well, really made Dovi earn the win, and a great save on the front to boot. Hope it goves him a bit of confidence and he spends a bit more time at the sharp end.

Good ride by Zarco, happy he's on the podium.

MM gets a pass mark, but only just.

Petrucci done great from rear of field since it was wet, and another solid ride from Miller.

Roll on Valencia.

Congrats to Dovi. 6 wins.

Congrats to Lorenzo, too bad he doesn't know how to race in rain, and needs conditions to be perfect. Great save to finish 2nd.

Zarco, top Yamaha, again. It's amazing how Zarco is able to extract performance after his tires are shot.

Marquez managed the championship today.

Pedtrux needed to be up there in front of Marc. Disappointing. Also disappointing, Van der Mark.

I'd also like to mention the Glory Thief. Nobody can ever have their moment, it's all got to revolve around this ........

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

A lot of very unhappy people with the mapping 8 situation. Probably not helped at all by Lorenzos post race interview.

Whilst I don't think it's a great thing, it's the only choice to be made in a situation like this. Running 1 & 2 comfortably, and finishing in that order costs one of your riders the title. No team is going to want that finish.
What is good though is seeing George back at the front and hopefully dispelling the "can't run in the wet" ......... As he gets more confident on that bike I expect him to be a serious contender next year.

JLo clearly could ride in the wet today...better than some of the rain masters...

However, today it was about the team and not the man....Ducati gave the order and after he made the 'mistake'....JLo obeyed the team....

Mapping number 8 situation....strangely didnt some one this thread say or suggest that Ducati does not give team orders....perhaps that person was right since Mapping number 8 was a suggestion....a 12million Euro one at that....

Kudos to JLo for being big enough to obey....some of you will say no it was all down to the mistake....well it was that then clearly his ambition was greater than his talent again....so lets just say it was a well planned strategy by Ducati...

Dovi did what was needed, and luckily for him so did Zarco....overwise the title fight would be over....

Now, next race Dovi must win, and every Ducati rider has to get in the way of MM.....JLo and Petrux have no choice but to hinder MM...if they can...

You think JLo almost lowsided thereby handing the title to MM to "obey". How ....... cute you are.

So how does this accord with your pre-race prognostication that he might help MM rather than Dovi because he apparently "owes" MM for the 2015 title he won by being faster than your boy in the end of season races that year?.

He should and would help his team-mate's title bid if he is out of the title race with so few races remaining, but if he is good enough to fake a lose such as he had then like MM in 2015 he should be leading/winning the title rather than merely being involved in its denouement.

2017, all riders who are Italian or on an italian bike should help Dovi to make sure Marquez doesn't win the championship.

Any rider who does that should have their licence revoked permanently

Now, next race Dovi must win, and every Ducati rider has to get in the way of MM.....JLo and Petrux have no choice but to hinder MM...if they can...

That is a disgusting thing to suggest, if it happens then my comment above should apply.

On the day it should be the best man/woman who wins and not on the so say of 2nd rate grid fillers.

No doubt Lorenzo played to team orders which in this situation he should. Giving up his first win on Ducati or any win for that matter has to be gut wrenching , but I gained a lot of respect for him today for not being the Prima Donna he is usually portrayed to be. Solid race by Zarco, can he keep the 16 M1 for next year. Marc rode smart and it will take a disaster on his part and a win by Dovi for anything to change at the top. A disaster for Marquez is way more likely than Dovi winning at Valencia, so he (Dovi)has to start doing a rain dance today and continue it for the next 14 days. Was really hoping Marquez would wrap it up today so we could see cracking finale, but we will have another weekend like this where the number one goal will be to not get hurt in practice and riding to secure a spot on the track by himself.

Marquez only has to finish in the top 10 to win and tbo I don't think the Duc stands a chance at Valencia, its such a twisty little circuit.

Can't see it either. Marquez knows that he doesn't have to burst a gut to become champion and baring an engine blow up ala Silverstone or getting tangled up at the start I'd reckon he's done enough.
Anything can happen though, I just hope it finishes without any daft conspiracy theories or controversy.

Maybe Motogp is fixed like Nascar

Do any and everyone thank that this race wasn't fixed Motogp is getting like nascar
