<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>My reasoning is this: As a rider Macau requires
full concentration for its entire 6.2 km length. the "Armco" barriers are ubiquitous and unforgiving. IOM TT's 60-something km course allows for some (relative) time to regroup and refocus. I have no idea of the statistical difference in death/injuries per km raced between the two, but I have a feeling they would be close.
Having seen both races live, the fear factor for me was higher in Macau.
Macau's armco barriers may seem unforgiving but I bet you the whole way around the course the armco is not broken on the outside of any corner..
For a rider to ricashay off a armco is better than to stop dead on a stone pillar.
The Isle of Man has Gate Posts and street furniture on the outside of corners, oh and Kerb stones as well as bales.
The Isle of Man is the most scary, challanging, unforgivining course in the world.
