Guy Martin out on his first lap. Apparently if you get knocked out they wont let you ride for 7 days, no serious injuries though.

S Easton, Rutter, McGuinness.

Poor Connor retired. Good effort by the Manxman though !!

MACAU GRAND PRIX MOTORCYCLE GRAND PRIX
Some say it is the most challenging circuit in the world and when the motorcycles compete in the streets of Macau the action is intense from start to finish.

Ya gotta love bikes and "armco" barriers. Even scarrier than Isle of Man. Those riders have some cojones and its awesome to see them ride there.

No bike race is scarier than the Isle of Man

My reasoning is this: As a rider Macau requires full concentration for its entire 6.2 km length. the "Armco" barriers are ubiquitous and unforgiving. IOM TT's 60-something km course allows for some (relative) time to regroup and refocus. I have no idea of the statistical difference in death/injuries per km raced between the two, but I have a feeling they would be close.

Having seen both races live, the fear factor for me was higher in Macau.

Macau's armco barriers may seem unforgiving but I bet you the whole way around the course the armco is not broken on the outside of any corner..
For a rider to ricashay off a armco is better than to stop dead on a stone pillar.
The Isle of Man has Gate Posts and street furniture on the outside of corners, oh and Kerb stones as well as bales.
The Isle of Man is the most scary, challanging, unforgivining course in the world.

As a resident of the Isle I obviously defer to your knowledge (or is that bias?). I was simply stating that having seen BOTH races live I found that Macau was more frightening to me if I imagined my ... on the seat. Again there is no ride through green pastures to provide the ying to the Gate Post's yang in Macau. Also have you ever ricocheted off armco - you'd probably wish you were dead.

Isle of man is dangerous...but the Mac race is guardrail ALL the way round....both races take HUGE balls to go fast anyhow.
