Yey, now I can continue to support DMG as they continue their rather clumsy rehabilitation of AMA Pro Road Racing.

Personally, I'm glad to know he won't be dealing with the competitors anymore, but I hope they don't ditch Ludington altogether. DMG need experienced personnel, even if they weren't meant to deal with people or criticism.

I know this was already mentioned elsewhere, but it needs its own thread.

Im laffing my ... off. They r hoping people forget by sweeping this under the rug. But i wont forget. .... Al Ludington! .... DMG!

If there hadnt been a video of his tirade, i guarantee not a damn thing would have been done. This is how these ........ do business and they were just unlucky that someone was taping. Now the suspension of JRP needs to be lifted. DMG seems to read the fans reaction on boards like these and then act accordingly.

What did he do exactly ??

article only says
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>following his actions and behavior at Mid-Ohio on Saturday, July 18, in an exchange with AMA Pro American Superbike rider Johnny Rock Page.

Exactly, if RoadRacingWorld hadn't stealth taped it, then they would have done nothing about it. I wonder if RoadRacingWorld will ever be allowed into the paddock again.

I also have to wonder what more fun (aka drama) the AMA have in store for the rest of the year? They run a great circus, plenty of ...-clowns.

I really hope the manufactures get on the ball and come up with a new series with WSBK rules instead of NASBIKE ......... I hate this series even though it has some decent races albeit on lesser bikes and not real superbikes unless your looking at the buell which isn't supposed to be in the sereis if you look at the rules. DMG is for nascar and they need to either get it together or get the .... out. .... YOU DMG!!!

I am now hearing that the JRP went to the meeting mic'd up and someone in his crew is who secretly filmed it, not Roadracing world.

From the video posted on RRW, you can certainly tell the sound was not recorded at the point of the camera but rather there was something recording it in the garage. Very sly of Rock Page to do so, covering his arse.

I noticed that he was mic'ed while I was watching it last night but I thought nothing of it b/c JRP has his reality-series TV-concept running in the back of his mind.

The more I think about it, the more I realize how strange this entire situation is. Any references to "the show" are just as likely to be referenced by JRP since he is a self-proclaimed reality TV personality.

Strange isn't it? One one side is DMG who have always treated racing like it is a theatrical production. On the other side is JRP who apparently thinks that most of his life is a theatrical production.

Ludington was wrong and he needs to be moved from race control to a back office somewhere, but the "reality" of the situation may not be as it appears considering the source.

In an interview, he said the camera's are always running and after the races, he is always mic'd up for his show. I guess Ludington forgot that JRP is wired 24-7

Not "sly" my friend, but goes to show you how much .... these guys have had to deal with behind closed doors. It was protection. And it served him and us well. He is still getting railroaded, but at least we have been privy to the dastard ways of DMG and ....... Ludington. And even if it was just a twist of fait that he was mic'd up for his reality show, it was still magnificent providence.

I had no idea Rock Page runs his own reality show, the video makes sense now. I guess Ludington picked the wrong guy to give .... to.

Reminds me of all thos cops who unjustly beat the .... out of somebody, only to be caught on tape by their own cruiser cam. Idiots, but thank God they are so dumb, eh.

I'm just surprised that JRP didn't try to blackmail DMG (in a legal way), by sending them a copy.

Obviously, JRP can't make any demands of the AMA, but he could send a copy to DMG and then sit back and see what happens about his suspension and Ludington's presence in the paddock. Who knows? He might have scored a few points with the people at DMG for keeping it "in the family" so to speak.

An interesting thought. But he will doubtless benefit more from the notoriety resulting
in his having been politically pole-axed by Luddington - as a distraction from - his earlier notoriety
previously consisting of being known as the slowest self-made millionaire on the track.

I'm glad he aired it out. The France family machine needs to be kept in line or at least shamed out of the sport.

I saw Joe Gibbs on Sports Center yesterday; he was commenting on the Jeremy Mayfield controversy. When asked for his opininon on the matter, Gibbs did nothing but say he 100% supported NASCAR's drug testing policy. I imagined Mike Helton standing off camera, running his finger across his throat. By the way, Does anyone remember Tim Richmond?

I don't want to take everything AMA riders say with large helpings of salt.

Wow, this is how DMG officials talk to their riders, I can imagine they don't like Mladin because he can give as good as he gets. I had high hopes DMG might get road racing into the mainstream here in the States but I for one hate the "Big John" i.e. bully tactics that are used on the teams/riders like they do in NASCAR.

Shupe, I remember Tim Richmond, probably one of the best drivers to ever sit behind the wheel of a race car, but one of the dumbest outside of it.
