Loris still rides for the love of it, he still has passion, as long as he thinks like that and is fit, he'll be competitive. Good news but we knew it would happen.
"Capirossi's only other known option of interest was a move to Gresini Honda alongside Marco Melandri." per crash.
bet that had Tony worried!
...good to hear he stayed on the duc...
but only 1 year??? you guys thinking he'll retire after or go to another team...sounds like he left his opptions wide open for 08...

Theres a thread going on in the general bit about this - he's got a job for life at Ducati, so if he's not racing a duke - then he'll be in some sort of managment/pr role me thinks.

racesport.nl says Livio Suppo (Ducati Team Manager) has said that the team has the intentions of keeping sete in the team. looks like ducati is keeping the same team for next year!
And for us, I hope Sete 'clicks' with the bike like Loris. It's only fair to give him another go at it after a very unlucky season. Ducati/Bridgestone looks like a strong package for next year.
indeed! but until the word "intentions" is changed to signed on the dotted line, i'm not going to hold my breath for gibbers. i'll believe it when i see him in red in 07!
I`ve just been thinking about why Capirossi seems to do so well on the Ducati and other riders don`t? I mean, it`s obvious, like skid said, that he`s "clicked" with the bike, but is there more to it than that? Is the bike developed practically only with Capirossi in mind? Or is he significantly more talented than the others? Or has he just figured every nut and bolt of that bike out so he knows how to get the best from it. The only other rider who did decently on the Duke was Bayliss, and despite how great he is on a SBK, he rides a GP bike with all the finesse of a frieght train. Those Desmos sure have an odd way of chosing who they`ll go fast for
Should be good to see D`antin get more funds, Bridgestones and more factory support next year, to see how other riders fare on decently equipped Dukes
