Lorenzo's tech admits rossi handled spin better (again, not trolling...)

I read this quote this morning on motogp.com, and I'm wondering what you all honestly think:

"Even Lorenzo’s crew chief Ramon Forcada admitted that after checking data, Rossi had handled the wheelspin issues better. The spinning issues were so severe that a few riders felt like they were riding in the wet. They’d all had to moderate throttle opening on the straight to get drive, and it was MotoGP’s shrewdest operator that prevailed over its smoothest."

I'm hoping for some interesting opinions here, although I'm anxiously awaiting a seething and vicious commentary by JPS.

I've just read it too, the baying horde will find something to disprove and rip up for arsepaper , do not worry!

A softer suspension set up bike would consume lesser tires than a hard suspension set up?
 
I dare say it is because he had experience riding the older bikes that didn't have the electronics to compensate for tire wear. I'm not saying no one else is capable, but no one else on the grid currently rode the early 4 strokes.

I definitely agree with you on that point. I do feel that some people will say his experience on 4 strokes is unfair and thus his win so be eradicated.

I can't see how this harder carcass rear is gong to favour Lorenzo tomorrow particularly if the forecast for higher temperatures is accurate. Great to see no fallers in the top class today - ideal track temp. had much to do wth that. Of course a greasier surface tomorrow will make Rossi even faster.

Like I say. I'd quite like Rossi to win this to level things out.

Really wasn't hard to see this coming based upon the simple understanding that Rossi thrives and is often indomitable in these conditions. Precisely why he laments the era that preceded the advent of electronics.

Would you not agree that the era without electronics was perhaps more exciting?

P.S. I have a sinking feeling that Rossi will not show many more performances like Jerez this year.

I only said that as I feel this forum has some members whose only purpose in life is to belittle everything #46 has achieved in his career, if people don't like him, fine, but don't make up stuff that is not true to justify a position.
 
Not trolling, but, Rossi killing JLo Sunday pretty much told us that.

Yes, yes, that's obvious lol. The reason I posted it is to counter the fact that some people were saying that data wouldn't be made available to Jlo and his team because he is switching ships next year.

IMO only, but the key is that riders complained that it was like riding in the wet, and well, Rossi is one of the best we have seen at wet weather riding so no doubt that skill came to the fore in that his 'sense of feel' allowed him to manage the uncertainty with grip levels better

DP/JL, whilst ok in the wet are no Rossi and MM is still learning these machines somewhat in terms of wet and with the seemingly new found maturity that he has been displaying he decided discretion before valour
