i'm not gonna believe a rumour from a Spanish mag without any official release or reliable evidence. But if it is true i guess its good news for people who are not called Colin Edwards, or the boss of Fortuna.
We need to wait for an official announcement, the media have a tendency to make stories up!
I think Yamaha is a good team for Lorenzo to go to im just not sure that it is a good thing for a debutant to have his ... kicked by Rossi if that was to happen.
Dont Fortuna want to continue their sponsorship of the bike as well as him personally though or could the team have 2 bikes with different liveries as lets be honest Fiat arent interested in sponsoring Edwards are they.

i think its good that yamaha are looking to bring in a youngser that can be mentored by rossi to keep up yams championship hopes after rossi's gone, but i recon if lorenzo starts gobbing off rossi may shuv one of those lolly pops right up his arse.

i'm expecting a handful of podiums, a few crashed and some pole positions. I think Rossi will retire before Lorenzo gets good enough to beet him.

I'll wait for the Yamaha press release before I believe it but it would be a wise move for Yamaha. I do think that whatever team he goes to he will be much more "on his own terms" as opposed to Edwards so the protoge/understudy role or "Lolipops up his arse" scenario, as Roger so rightly summed it up won't happen. made me laugh though.

I've had a funny feeling about Lorenzo and Yamaha for a while now, he seems an ideal long-term replacement for Rossi. We may even have the mouthwatering prospect of a team-mate battle for the world championship (if Rossi stays for a while) a la Doohan and Criville. Heres hoping!
