Jums, I have been keeping out of this and would like to continue to do so as I am here for the race talk and banter with the crew that we have but I would like to address this quoted section if I can ............
You have offered your help, guidance and place to me personally and many of us Aussies should we ever get to your part of the world, be we there for racing or simply to experience the US and for that, whilst I have not taken it up I am eternally grateful and like many of the Aussies have made similar offers.
Now, I am yet to meet you but have had many dealings with you through this place and personally I have no issues at all believing you to be a genuine, trustworthy individual who does the best they can for the people in their charge. ...., some of the old race meet-up stores and threads are still some of the best in this joint. In all of these threads I did not see, read or even have suspicion that people were anything short of appreciative of you and your efforts or that people were in any way unhappy with what you had done for them.
Now to see that you feel that you need to justify (may be an incorrect word there so apologies) the fact that you are a person concerned with assisting others, and not just others but people who are somewhat random to you is a shame as the fact that you put yourself there says more of you than you will ever know.
I take integrity very strongly and know that it hurts when people question it, may be worse than hurts as it cuts one up as you know internally that what you feel is unjust as you know what you did and you know the full story of what you did, so to have it questioned pisses you off.
Now, after my preamble to what I perhaps should have said earlier.
Let it be known that irrespective of what gets said here or anywhere else (and I have not seen anything anywhere else) how you treat people, and how you always offer yourself is well known, well respected, well regarded and well thought of and no matter what banter occurs, it shall remain so.
Similarly for me, no one, particularly me, doubts that Jumkie is both hospitable and genuine, he certainly was going to go out of his way to get me to Laguna Seca one year, but I was too disorganised to take advantage of his offer. He has been a major reason that I have participated in this forum all these years, initially bonding (as far as you can on the internet anyway) over our shared fandom of Nicky Hayden and Casey Stoner and what we believed was the unfairness of the attitudes of some to their 2006 and 2007 world titles. I am sure we would be real life friends if we ever did meet, a planned meeting was subverted by a hurricane which diverted my plane a few years ago.
I have like you been trying to stick to race talk because I can't see any good coming from any involvement from me, as it didn't last time I tried, which actually led to attacks on Jumkie's friends ouside the forum (not from Keshav), and making people angry or defensive is often what provokes them to say things they might not normally say.
