You Englishmen have similar tastes, although not in preferred gp riders,, the much discussed Roger had a similar vehicle, chipped etc as yours probably is, and was I think even taller than you.

Synn is correct that I am older than some on here, so I don’t go for the turbo cars any more, although I do also drive a Subaru, a BRZ in fact, a classic Subaru blue/Rally Blue one at least.

Both my cars are Turbos, but not flashy. Love my Volvo C30. Not super fast, but fun as hell to drive. I'm blessed with endless twisty back roads with constant elevation changes going through Bear Mountain and the tail end of the Ramapo Mountain range. Fun for bikes too.

Myself and a mate went through a crazy Japanese 400 stage about 20 years ago, it was great, I loved those mad little 400s.
I just dropped you a quick PM about custom builds, I hope you don't mind.

Totally. I went through my big bike stage years ago. Now I have a nicely kitted DRZ 400 sm and a thoroughly massaged KTM SRXF 450 converted to SM. Even at my "advanced age" they allow me to run circles around guys half my age on liter bikes. A little bit of HP goes a long way on a bike that only weighs 250 Lb.

OMG - has Lord Voldemort been trotting out this old canard again??? It's one of his biggest, smelliest loads of ........ ever, and some are actually buying into it. I never "invited myself" into anything, I was invited. I never "demanded" anything. It was a gesture of respect. And all was peaceful across the land...

.... until, Ayatollah Jummani's (best British friend) without provocation, betrayed a basic trust among friends, because he couldn't resist being a jerk-off at my expense. I called him out and like a jealous girlfriend, The Ayatollah came to the rescue and declared a fatwa on me because I'd dared to speak badly of the Prophet Roghammed from whom all blessings flow.

Junkie is big on Grand Gestures, but his largesse comes with a big-... price tag, that being, if you eat at his table, you are forever in his debt, to the extent that even if he stabs you in the back and tells lies about an honored guest, said guest is to take the dust from his feet and only speak kind words about him, because he has purchased your loyalty.

Unfortunately for him, not all people can be bought.

Which is evidently true on both sides of the equation. When Jumkie admired a my "Hecho En Mexico" belt buckle I made a point of going three hours out of my way to revisit a market I'd been to in Mexico to get one for him and sent it to him in California.

When Jumkie was too broke to go to COTA - I PMd him and offered to use my frequent flier miles to throw him a free ticket to go to Austin, even tho I myself could not go that year.

These too are the acts of a friend. But I don't go 'round throwing this stuff in his face, because frankly, I don't know which one to throw it in.

We are discussing racing now.
Stop Klogging, Kancer.

I had a turbo Mazda MX5 Miata, not the anaemic world market one but an Australia only after market turbo installed by Alan Horsley, an ex - racing driver (he raced 13B turbo RX7s) which was backed by Mazda Australia. A little crude, but quite rapid and a lot of fun.

My main car is an Audi A6 BiTurbo. It's a bit of a beast. Even though it is a diesel, it will do 0-62 in about 5.1 and has 320hp, but 650NM of torque, so if anyone has a small mountain that is ruining their view and wants it pulling down, then give me a shout.

Most mental car I've had the insanity to drive on road was an RX3 Mazda with a twin turboed 13b.

Proper scary, and not really suited for road use.

Hella fun though.

My sister had a turbodiesel V8 A8, you could probably have towed the Queen Mary into Sydney Harbour with that thing.

MX5 SE?

I opted for the Maloo R8 LSA.

For you, he should be unapproachable. Please don`t think just about you and him when you try to engage him, think about all the members of the forum and question yourself if they really want to get thru this .... again.
Or better, start a poll with the question "who here wants me to engage Jumkie" and see how that pans out. But if you do receive some approvals, those who do that don`t wish the well-being of this forum.

Regarding the Kropo issue: we all know that in the history of PS were numerous spats between some members, some lighter, some more serious. The problem is that these days the Signal To Noise ratio appears to be less than 1, the noise becoming unbearable.

Another great post. Thank you for your positive contribution.

I think Keshav needs a short break from the forum to get things back in perspective.

My friend, I understand your thinking, except can't help wondering why I have to be the "bigger man". There have been long extended periods on the forum during which I said not a word about Jumkie, which didn't stop him from making not-so-oblique insulting references to me in his posts, and of course, nobody said a word. And of course he egged on his lackeys who freely took jabs at me, which for the most part, I paid no attention to.

Respectfully, I think you just might have it backwards. Remember, I made a mild two-word side comment, which Jumkie ran with, taking the whole forum hostage by way of his multiple thousand word commentaries about man and god and the history the world blah blah blah. This is what he does. He clogs the forum with lengthy essays that eat up space that could be better used by racing talk. It would be more useful to tell Jum to grow some skin.

If I owned one of those, I would be by now broke from paying speeding tickets and without a licence. :p

Since you were about to ask, I own a '97 Geo Tracker.

The plastic side thingys that cover the bottom of the frame under the door fell off exposing all the rust.

Now I'm afraid the cops will pull me over and make me take it off the road.

It's also good at pulling my trailer (that's worth more) with dirtbike to the woods for a day of fun.

Jumkie has a lot of likes on his posts so a lot of people are clearly not bothered by how long, or even how short is posts are.

Ok then, and, to quote BWB, what is, is. I just hope we never see a "tumbleweed period" on PS again.

A few bods pointed out that it was a bit of perfect storm for Horhay at Mugello, and the overall race was slower than last year.
I think you're right about the top 6, fella.

I reckon it will be a few laps leading, get roughed up, fall back then a bit of late race pace.

I hope that isn't the case, it would be nice for him to podium again, I just think that contrary to the Mugello result, not an awful lot has changed and the win was more a case of other riders suffering than anything else.

Wondering what odds they're giving at the London betting houses. I'd put money on lap four.

Oh dearie me! Those likes are so disheartening. The sky above is growing dark and the clouds are rolling in. Suddenly I'm filled with self-doubt and questioning the meaning of my existence. Yep, that's all it takes for me to have a complete existential disintegration. A couple of likes from (mostly) broken angry white guys on the internet, which are so uncommon. I'm all flustered because I've never encountered them before. I don't know whether to eat a trough full of Haggendaz or hang myself in the basement. I'm lost at sea. Won't you guide me you good samaritan?

Then again, perhaps the takeaway is, that it's okay to clog the forum with non-racing blah blah blah as long as the Ayatollah does the clogging?

BTW - people may not care about the length of his posts (try telling him that size don't matter) but as I recall, Krap Magnet believes anyone who's not
as big (or should that be wide) as him is to be sneered at, which would put the Ayatollah at a distinct disadvantage as he's pretty stubby.

Thanks for being a reasonable human being; one who I can disagree with in a civil fashion. Of course you risk not being invited to sleep in Jumkie's rusty motorhome, but on the plus side, you haven't succumbed to Lord Of The Flies group-think, and can stand tall knowing you haven't abandoned your dignity or personal principles for the cheap price of entrance to the Mean Girls Club.

Do you even read what you write?

You've had multiple posters begging you to stop clogging up topics and instigating things with Jumkie. And you still continue to do it. The whole thread derailed because of a post you made originally.

This post is more of the same. Levying insults and continuing to ignore who the common denominator has been with these posts. You even dragged my name into the whole thing when I haven't said a ....... thing to you in this topic.

Unreal.
