I have been going every year and the only advice that i can give you is if your not riding into the track get ready to be in stop and go traffic for 5 hours.

Hmmm, that isn't true at all. Last year (2007) they hired a traffic control organization and I have to say we got in and out no problem at all. They made you park at an old military base, biggest parking lot I've seen, then they had about 70 greyhounds working like clockwork. It was probably the best organized event I have been to. 2006 was a nightmare. As far as when you get there its all personal preference where you sit. I like to sit up on the hill at the hairpin by turn 2. Bring an umbrella as it get pretty hot and there is little shade. Bring some comfortable shoes as you are gonna want to walk around a lot. Also, see if you can make it to the practices and qualifying events. There arn't as many people and its really fun to watch. Be prepared to hang out and watch the AMA SBK those guys put on a damn good show too.

Find someone who has one of those Handicapped placards that hang from the rearview mirror and borrow it. You get access to special parking lot, special buses, special dropoff/waiting area.

I used one for '06 and my buddy and I went from parked to paddock in about 30 mins, coming and going, sat and sun.

unless you get to the track early enough. i had no problems driving to & from the track. some short delays in the afternoon but absolutely none in the morning. be at the track by 5:00 absolutely no later than 6:00. leave no earlier than 6:00.
