Laguna Seca Track Overview

I've knocked up an overview of Laguna Seca on Google Maps in honour of it being the last time MotoGP will be there, for a while at least.
You can check it out here.
Any feedback appreciated. Thanks to R-46 for finding the cool Corkscrew You-Tube vid linked to in the map. If you'd like to see more of these maps or other tracks let me know and I'll put them together.

Looks like it'll be in the low 70sF (20sC) so no big heat problems.

damn jumkie mate, i would love to go more than anything else right now, i will be gutted if they drop luguna.
i would give him the flag,i might give us a ride on the back like it did his dad that time ( one of the best victory celebrations i have ever seen) bought a tear to my eye it did.
you have a good time mate and i hope you meet up with burky, take loads of photos and post them.

Ill say this after this indy bs I might actually miss laguna it is at least a purposo built motorcycle circuit
 
Laguna has a contract with Dorna to hold the USGP through 2010.

Really? Where can I look up this info? I read the following and was a bit confused. Notice the word "switch". It sounds like they are saying that it will go from ("switch") being at Laguna to Indy, it makes it seem like they are saying it will replace ("change") venues. What do you think?

That is just typical Eurosport ......... The head guy at Laguna was at the Indy announcement and stated that until 2010 we will see both Laguna and Indy.

This article seems pretty clear it's Laguna through 2010. Next years official date just hasn't been announced. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Jul/070716e.htm
