Wow. Hacking is right on Spies' tail, which reinforces the need for more equal equipment in AMA competition. Who knew Hacking had such pace.

Anyway, Nicky is the best American in 6th. This is gonna be a bad year for the Americans. The two best are on Michelins, one is badly injured, and two others are riding equipment not capable of winning dry races.

Melandri in 5th?
<
I was ready for him to move on. Why does he continue to make decisions more difficult for Ducati? Hayden needs your seat, Melandri. Slow down!

Oh don't worry....come race time he'll settle into a comfortable DNF or a solid 15th place...

Hahaha

Jesus, Nakano is up there, what the .... is happening... Toseland?
<

There are gonna be some sick times this race, but FP1 is not usually indicative of QP times. Except Nakano, who will post the same pace the whole weekend.

Spies only .4 behind Vermuelen (who really is in third because Nakano....Q tire?) so looking very good so far. Only FP1 though and a lot can change in a few hours. Look for CE to move up and Hayden? Well he always lags down the order until the Q session and he is higher than usual.

Thanks for the posts I'm trapped behind a bigass filter on all sports sites here at work.

Go home Michelin. I think it would be environmentaly more friendly to give Stoner 25 points and let him save the fuel he will use to laugh at the rest.

I guess you were really freaking out when Casey had 1.3 seconds on Rossi up until the last few minutes. You can always hope that Casey might have been the only one that ran a Q.Spies and Hacking were about where i thought they would be.Dani, well if thats what they have, there is no use risking further injury.

Well Dani never shows his cards in the first couple practices, thats how he rolls. However, I have never seen him in last so maybe this an indication of how his weekend will go.

Casey said that if it wasn't for a bit of traffic at the end he could have gone even faster. When he says this now I believe him. There is no mind games being played here, he just tells it like it is. Wow, anyone wanna buy some tickets to Stonerfest? Well if Jum and Rog weren't there I would cancel for sure.

Spies himself can't beat Mladin's time with a GP bike.

As always, lets wait until the final Quali's to pass judgement, but still good observation. Mladin's time is enough for 10th in GP right now on a superbike.

Unless Spies hurt his hand on the GP get off this morning,i expect he will be right there come race day on the Superbike. He has a big enough points lead to worry about first practice.
