MOTOGP says that Stoner had pole without even using a Q but put one of at the end for good measure and amazed everyone with his laptime. If he has a perfect run he will win by ~20-25 seconds. Oh well, I head out tomorrow morning at 7 am to hopefully catch the warmup and maybe catchup with Rog and Jum. I am going to be watching the race for second and hopefully a midpack battle, which have been the excitement this season

Casey ran 12 sub 1:22 laps on race tyres
Valentino ran 3 sub 1:22 laps on qualifiers.
I am a Casey fan but it will be the mid pack battle that brings racing and the lead that shows a motorcycle can be ridden faster than ever before around a race track. i.e. the pack for the race and Casey for keeping it special

Suprised nobody has said anything about the spread of the Ducatis.
The other 3 are usually at the end of the list.
Elias JUST in the 1.21's. 6th a very good Q result given his season. Could he try for a podium? Or is everyone laughing. The bike can do it, can he?

Want racing? - run a reverse grid.
I think 5 times a season (and on a hat draw) they should have 4 x fp sessions and skip qualifying, go to the previous rounds qualifying times and reverse the grid.
Stretch it out (double spacing) while they're at it.
Racing and fast bikes. Casey and Vale on the back row having to work through the pack.
Marco and Westy on the front row pumping up.
Everyone in the middle thinking I can run to the front and makes the .......s catch me for once.
Low cost answer for everyone.

To live so close, with such awesome roads between Paso and Laguna, is a sweet deal.
Have you ever taken Arroyo Seco road E. out of Greenfield? It's a wonderfully scenic, twisty bit of pavement! After a while it morphs into Carmel Valley road. Take it to CV, then pick up Laureles Grade, which leads straight to the gates of Nirvana.
