Starting new thread as the planning thead is to random and headed down the toilet imo.



Right. My journey starts at 5.30 am stood on my driveway waiting for a taxi. Ive had no sleep the night before because of excitment and last minuite checks on securing house, checking everything is packed ect. Im stood on the driveway feeling like .... with 3 very chatty excited kids and the misses who feels in the same state i do.



5.40 taxi turns up to take us to the coach station. Coach leaves at 6.05 headed to heathrow.

We get the the airport and start with weighing in bags getting boarding passes ect.

Now the walk through security. We all walk through one by one. I set of the buzzer and im wisked to one side to get frisked. I look around to see my 10 year old daughter being searched. The misses protests but she is told the computer has picked her out at random to be searched. I thank myself lucky she wasn't searched on the inbound flight. More on that later.

3 hours wait at the airport still feeling tired then 11 1/2 flight to LAX. I had about 20 mins sleep on the plane but woke up because my arm and legs and gone to sleep and i had the pins and needles.

Turbulance all the way so spent most of the time strapped into the seat that was designed for skinny super models.



We arive at LAX, go through immigration with no hastle so make our way to starbucks to gather our thoughts. The plan is to get a cab from LAX to Baffin Bay in orange county to pick up the RV. The cab firm want $140 for this ride so i think i will call jumkie to see if he has a plan. He normally has all angles covered but seldom tells you its all arranged. He like's you to feel a bit stressed

Im sat in starbucks playing with my hateful iphone and find it is not working. I go to a payphone and phone the man with the charming phone etiquette ( more on that later).



Jum says, .... paying dollars compa, cali is down there picking up kesh he can get you too then we will go get the RV. Trouble was cali was already halfway down the freeway home bound with kesh. Like a trooper he drops off the oldboy and comes back for us.



Now this was lucky that cali picked us up and i didn't get a cab because when we got to cali's i went online to check my mail. Seems the RV peeps have changed the RV location and emailed my while we were 50k feet above the earth. RV is now in Irvine. Its too late and to far to get it now plus im now really fatigued, i dont know how long ive been awake or what ....... day it is. I meet kesh and say i need to crash. I head for the floor but im directed to a big ... comfy bed. Lights out like ive been clobbered by Mike Tyson.

It felt like me and Jum were gonna get clobbered by Tyson when we cuddled up to ya !

sometime during my sleep at calikids i wos woked by being jumped on. Although ive seen the pics in the planning thread i reall dont remember it. To be honest i dont remember going to jumkies house or anything until the following morning. Infact i dont even remember the following morning. My memory starts when the guns start getting layed out on the pool table. I bung $$ the mans way and demand ammo now.

We all pile into jums RV and head out to the firing range. Cali is there loading mags, not a nice job if you have ever loaded several mags you will know how sore it makes your fingers.



Now the sceanery going through Azusa canyon on the way to the ranges is breath taking. I had the privilage to ride these roads back in 08.

It was a family holiday of a lifetime. Infact it was our last chance as a complete family to have such a holiday as my eldest son goes to uni in september so will fledge the nest.



Now some my disagree with this link and they are entitled to their opinions. This was a safe enviorment with at least 3 ex soldiers there. Jum and his friend chris both ex marines gave good instruction with weapons they were very familier with.

Pov will have you believe im anti guns. Thats not true, im anti shooting people. Shooting holes in paper targets is cool with me and something all should do at least once in their lifetime.

Ah....chicks and guns.....swaaaeeet! Rog...I know you get slight wood watching that...and I don't mean Wood's.
 
On the way to the airport to pick up Chops and His family I was really worried That has Family would be just like him, but Luckily Chop's is the biggest kid in the group! Chops was my second to last pick up at LAX as I had already spent most of the week scooping up most of our Guest, Curve was the last one. Chops and the Fam looked pretty tiered from their flight and I had a meeting to attend to, so I took them to my little apartment so they could rest for a bit as I attended my meeting when I came back from my meeting Rog was completely knocked out. Unfortouanetly his family was still there and his boyfriend Jumkie was on the way to my place already so I couldnt take advantage of him as he lay in my bed
<
Jumkie is a very jealous and overbearing man when it come to his powersliders as soon as I picked one up he'd expect them back at his place within minutes.
