Funny how you didn't even mention the pothead by his name, that's pretty messed up considering the dude drove you drunks around all over town. Too bad Curve wasn't there, or else he'd have another pothead to talk with..... only potheads has a certain 'understanding' of one another, haha.

Have you noticed none of us use our real names? I didn't use his name because he doesn't have a handle on this forum NOT because I wanted to be a jerk. Don't worry, he got his fair share of fun too. As I recall (just barely actually, cuz I was fairly inebriated too) but he got his groove on at the club. Plus we treated him to a great meal and lots of free booze.

Regarding Curve, not to worry, if he shows up to Indy, it won't just be potheads he will have an "understanding" with, but a bunch of drunks to boot.

This guy at the track reminded me of two members on the forum who are ...... bags. Its probably pretty easy to guess one of them; but can you guess the other one? Here is a hint; his name ends with a number between 55 and 57.

Hey JohnnyK, I see you lurking, I have a cool story for you, for real man, it totally reminded me of you! (Its related to our little exchange in the MJ thread.) You wanna hear it? BTW, Austin, you might wanna hear it too.

Montezuma would've rode that bike if they existed back then.

Thanks for posting pics Jumkie.

This is great stuff

Ok, (Hey Ooost, I think you'll like this one too).

So if you've ever been a racer, you'll know there is plenty of down time between practice and race sessions. So the riders usually sit around doing .... to pass the time. You can imagine all the .... that goes down, I for one would be with every umbrella girl I could get into my motorhome. But that's just me. Anyway, so Ben Bostrom is hanging out with a friend of a friend (this is how I heard the story, believe me, the AMA is a small world, if you know any racers personally, you pretty much get to meet them all eventually). It’s a down time and Bostrom is getting his gear ready for the race coming up. BTW, Ben Boz ran the Daytona Sportbike class at Laguna (he usually only rides the Superbike class). The reason being is because the powers that be are pushing to lift the profile of the Daytona Class, hence why he also ran the this class at the Daytona 200 (Laguna being also a high profile round).

Anywhoo, so the boys are hanging around and B.Boz asks his buddy who's kicking it with him, "Hey, can you get some white paint"? His buddy, thinking this is an odd request before the race asks, "Why the hell do you need white paint"? Bostrom reply, "Because I'm gonna paint one of my gloves white." At which the reply came, "Why the hell are you gonna paint one of your gloves white?" Bostrom; "Because I wanna be like Michael with one white glove!" He explains, "You know, I'm gonna do a Michael Jackson tribute!" So his buddy, laughing his ... off goes and finds him some white paint. They paint the right glove white and Bostrom tries it on. "Looks good." But then they realize that the other glove, still being the factory colors, doesn't let the white glove stand out. So at the track there is this artist, a guy like Burky, who paints these big ... portraits of riders (some of you might have seen them at the track). Anyway, Bostrom remembers that artist and tells his buddy, "Hey, you think that guy who paints those pictures has some paint that looks like skin?" Naturally it’s a WTF moment.

Bostrom explains, "I wanna paint my left glove the color of skin, that way the white glove will stand out more and I'll be just like Michael." So they go on a mission, explain the deal to the artist, the man complies and he starts painting his left glove the color of skin. He jumps on his bike and into the race. No ........! Hahaha, .... me!

I don't have a picture to prove it, but if you recorded the DSB race, twice you can get a glimpse of the gloves. At lap 10, he's motoring down the straight, and they do a close up of him. Pause it and you will see the white and skin glove. Again, at the end of the race when they are doing the race highlights, the very last image is of Bostrom getting a congratulations from his crew as he rides back to victory lane. You will see the white and skin glove.

Moral of the story? When you give props to MJ, good things happen. Bostrom won the race! Michael is surely smiling from above... (cue up Vince Price voice from Thriller: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

7396:MJ_glove.jpg]

Come on JohnnyK, if Bostrom can like MJ, surely you can give the man a pass, eh

(I doubt you're gonna find this story in any website, but you heard it here first).

Your welcome Jaz,

Hey check this out. These are the karts the boys rode.

LAWSON, ROBERTS, ROSSI, RAINEY
7401:Karts1.JPG]

This pic's for the Rossi faithful.
7402:KartVR.JPG]

Let me tell you guys what happened when I got these pics.

We had just visited Noodler’s pit (who was pitted a few spaces behind the karts) when we see Wayne Rainey's car pull up. I didn't notice him because his windows are tinted, but CK spotted him in an instant. So we let him park and give him the extra time and space to get out of his car. We actually stood a good far distance away to give him the respect and privacy of getting into his wheel chair. Once he started making his way toward the karts we walked over to him and said hello. We asked him how he did in the kart race and stuff. He stopped and was very nice, but you could see he was in a bit of a rush. We didn't want to take up too much time so we asked him to sign out tickets. I was the last one of our little group. I realized I still had the ticket attached to my neck on a lanyard. So I get really close and lean my body over him and hand him my ticket (still attached to my neck). This required me to put my foot in front of his wheel to keep my balance. As he finished, he started to push his chair forward before I had a chance to move (as I said he was in a bit of a rush). His wheel bumps up to my shoe, in that split second I think “oh .... I'm blocking him, how embarrassing”, but Mr. Rainey doesn’t skip a beat, not so much as a look up at me he powers through the tip of my shoe and proceeds on his way! Hahaha, .... me, I just got my foot ran over by Wayne Rainey!

Hey Pinkstaff is a cool kid
<
He is from Portland and races up there with me and Matt, except he is a lot faster lol.

I think Mr.Rainey ran over Jumkies foot on purpose for asking him the kart race results. according to him it sounded like he was just having fun with Roberts and Lawson, but Rossi took it and ran. In his defense the race was kind of ........ only 1 lap!

Rock the van was hillarious i thought we were not going to make it to the race. I was thinking .... the next curve were going off the fucken mountain, This is it im going to die! but our trusty guide handled the machine like a champ and we made it to the track just in time! but after we got to the track we had to go on another mission to fid Narsty and take him some tickets to get in!!!

Kawi People
I find it amazing how hardcore these Kawi people are. Being that kawasaki pulled out of Moto gp they still show up in full parade gear, maybe they were there for AMA. Now before all you Kawi people Jump on my ...! here me out It's not that i hate kawi its just that i think they are useless in the world of road racing!!! I doubt i would ever buy a Kawi but if someone left one at my doorstep with a big bow on it, I definetly would keep it. Those Kawi guys Jumkie pissed off where too up tight we were just joking and what would have been the point of getting in a fight? we did out number them! but we would have gotten kicked out and not been able to watch the race. I wasnt willing to sacrafice that over a stupid joke!!!
