Nothing more than rumors suggesting why the surface is so bad at this point. The only thing I've heard is that instead of tearing the track apart to repave, the company who was hired simply paved over the old bumps and dips and simply magnified the old surface issues.

Following yesterday's AMA Superbike race, Miguel Duhamel made a few remarks to the press that small holes are beginning to develop in the racing surface due to higher than usual traffic levels, extreme heat and the initial poor surface. It has been announced that the AMA Supersport and Superstock races, which were scheduled to take place between MotoGP morning warm up and the Red Bull USGP, have been postponed to after the GP. It is my understanding that no bikes will be circulating the track between the warm up and GP to keep the track in as good of condition as possible for the GP.

I heard Ricky Carmichael is doing a parade lap. He says the whoops on the way to the corksrew is the best bit

If anybody watched the start/finish straight closely ,some riders were getting airborne by a coupla inches, awesome to see them keeping the throttle pinned.

i watched the race on the bbc last night....steve parish (the commentator ) took a walk arond the track and sed that the contractors must have done a botch job basically...

i have to admit though the track is still awsome....but i think that due to the awsome heat, maybe they would have used their brains a little more!

ahwell, it was stil an awsome race...nicky swooped it on those last few laps...truly <span style="font-size:24pt;line-height:100%awsome
