I read an article recently that Edwards stated that he isn't in GP racing for the money at the moment. He is in it to have fun racing. I just don't picture Edwards wanting to make a move. Certainly he can see what has happened to Hopkins performance once he went "Green". But then again Hopkins was going to Big Green for the "big greenbacks".

I've a copy of this weeks MCN and the main story on back page is: Edwards in line to replace Bayliss

could'nt find a link on their site

I would love to see Edwards back in WSBK, I could care less if it's becoming the old timers league, the racing is outstanding.

Nah...as long as he's doing as good as he is now, he won't change rides. Tech3 is happy with him and he is happy. It would take a dismal season or two to make him want to switch.

If you read the article though, it sounds like Kawasaki would be happy to get just about anybody at this point. But I bet a good development rider (like Edwards) is what they're dreaming of.
Sorry, keeping Anthony West (def not a development rider) and hiring Hopkins (not a development rider either) was practically a recipe for disaster and dumb on their part.
Where they're at, they need two experienced riders to get the bike going in the right direction.

I'm sure it's no surprise to anybody but...don't expect to see West on the team next year. If he even lasts this season through.
