Josh Hayes in WSBK...Possible?

Well as the title suggest, at 37 years of age would Josh Hayes be considered for a competitive WSBK ride? Biaggi at 41 and Checa at 39 show it's possible.

Watching the AMA Superbike race I believe he was trying to make a statement, he was the only guy to dip into the 1:39's. It would be cool to see another American in the WSBK ranks.

Hell, Hayes may have no desire to race WSBK??

hayes is a quality rider, its a shame that other than ben and nicky there hasn't been much from the states on the international stage in the past 10 years

problem with wsbk is that there aren't many good rides, its becoming more and more like gps.

not even hopkins (and to a degree rea) are on good rides, haga even couldn't get one

when craig jones died, he had a pretty good honda ride for maybe 2-3 races in world supersport.. he did well too.. but yeah, superbike's a lil bit of a different animal, and cliche's right.. if he doesn't get a good ride, what's the point.. he's old, but definitely still got it.. yamaha's sorely missed every weekend, but i imagine if they came back, there would be plenty of people in line before josh..

just watching him last year at laguna, you get to contrast his style with the other riders, as well as the motogp guys.. and he was the only one, at least at the turns i was watching, that looked to have the same lines as the gp guys.. he's most assuredly a cut above the rest of the ama sbk guys.. really cool to watch

I think he could have tried to make the jump after he had that very impressive one-off supersport ride in 2008 (?)

But unfortunately now I think his age might go against him. Shame.

Hayes is certainly good enough. I'd say on a decent bike he would be top 1-5. But he is invisible. The international stage likes pretty boys and Euros. Hayes is neither. Won't happen. Sorry L8, end of thread.

well then edit my post to "in the past 9 years" instead of 10
