At the recent Vallelunga WSBK/WSS test, Josh Brookes, making his debut on his first really decent ride; tops the sheets, ahead of Sofuoglu! Also, my man the 'O' Show (Aussie SS Rider/my second fav rider
<
) tested for the Yamaha WSS team at the same test! Aussies are taking over the joint!!

Joshua Brookes (Stiggy Motorsport) "Wow, I’m very pleased! With everything! Finally I got the opportunity to prove myself, and to do it with Stiggy Motorsport Honda team is just amazing. The team is really good to work with and they are all work in a very professional way. Already from day one we managed to make the “right” adjustments and that allowed me to go faster and faster every session, and improved my lap times consistently. We managed to come very close to a really good race set up on the bike. The only down side is some clutch problems, but I’m sure that´s something we will be able to sort out. The chassis and engine is fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the same access to the development tyres like many of the other teams during these two days but, to be honest, I think we pulled it off pretty good anyway. I’m very much looking forward to Brno in two weeks time and I’m sure it will be a success for us."

Jason O’Halloran (Yamaha World Supersport) “This weekend has been tough; I had a track, a bike and different tyres to learn but I think I came to terms with it all very quickly and am pleased with my progress. The team is very professional and everyone has been great at helping me find my feet this weekend. Over the course of the weekend we’ve made steps forward; I put in a long run today and it felt good, even though I still am not fully used to the tyres. In the Australian Supersport series there are only two or three guys consistently fast but in this championship everyone is fast. You need to be fast and good at every turn every lap which is tough. The circuit was enjoyable to ride with some fast sections. It’s very technical though; one small mistake could cost a lot of lap time.”

Didnt you read about his WSBK Alto Evolution team's dramas? Truck theft? Sabotage? .... along those lines? :S Josh thought it wise to get out of there and start a fresh in a team where he could demonstrate his potential.. I say hes doing well so far
