From a news release by Dorna: (Wasserman Media manages riders such as Jake Zemke and Travis Pastrana, among others):
Dorna Sports selects Wasserman Media Group to secure global marketing partners for MotoGP

Select marketers to join with world's most prestigious motorcycle racing World Championship for first time ever

Los Angeles and Madrid March 1, 2007
Dorna Sports, the exclusive holder of the MotoGP World Championship commercial and television rights, has appointed Wasserman Media Group (WMG) to manage global marketing opportunities for its marquee racing events. Through the agreement, WMG will offer preferred brands an opportunity to partner with MotoGP, the world's most popular and prestigious motorcycle racing series, for the first time ever.
Led by WMG Marketing President, Jeff Knapple, Wasserman Media Group will represent Dorna and its MotoGP proposition to marketers on a global basis. Jeff Slack, Executive Vice President, European Sales will front the efforts in that territory.
"For marketers and audiences alike, MotoGP is categorically one of world's most valuable yet untapped global platforms. It is a privilege to partner with Dorna to strategically identify and align appropriate marketing partners with this unique motorsports experience," commented Knapple.
"We are delighted to reach this special agreement with WMG," added Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports. "The popularity of MotoGP is booming in all corners of the globe and we are constantly working to embrace the new commercial opportunities this presents. We are sure that WMG can help us towards this aim and we are looking forward to a fruitful partnership with them in the future."
MotoGP is the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, with events held in four continents every season and 58 years of illustrious history. MotoGP is hugely popular and in 2006 the sport's global audience figures reached over 5.2 billion. The series will have 18 races, across 15 countries in 2007. Television viewers from more than 200 countries enjoy Grand Prix action every year, with an average of over 304 million viewers per race.
The global reach of this exciting sport offers marketers the ability to reach their customer through television broadcasts, on-site signage, on-line, hospitality and promotions. The appeal throughout the world of MotoGP to adults 18-34, provides marketers with a compelling opportunity to reach this elusive demographic in a meaningful way.
Dorna Sports has been the exclusive holder of the commercial and television rights relating to the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (MotoGP) since 1992.
