JLo is voted as the biggest loser of 2012, despite winning his second world title in 2012.
Why is Lorenzo loser of 2012 -
- Despite being champion, against natural trend (apart from Hayden) Lorenzo was considered as an unworthy champ. This is because once Pedrosa's bike got sorted, JLo got his ... whipped in the last 8 races of 2012
- Yamaha team decided to post a Youtube Video"Welcome Home Rossi" instead of video of "Congratulations Lorenzo". This must have hurt really big time for a guy like JLo with his swollen head and inflated ego. Yamaha is more interested in Rossi's publicity, and completely ignored JLo's 2012 title because Yamaha is fully aware that the manner in which JLo won the title is short of being called a disgrace, due to Lorenzo's lack of talent making the M1 looking second best all the time even though both bikes are equal.
- Lorenzo is proven to be a very unpopular rider in Spain and worldwide. This problem is hurting Yamaha's sales. Yes you need to win titles. but you need to sell alot of bikes to fund the racing team. The fact that Yamaha needs to re-employ publicity man and crowd favourite Rossi is a big double blow to Lorenzo.
Everyone including JLo and Yamaha know that Rossi in 2013 stands nearly zero chance of the title, and obviously slower and older than Lorenzo, yet Yamaha welcomed the old dog back despite pissing off Lorenzo in the process.Triple blow to JLo ego here
- Lorenzo's popularity with the crowd remained very low despite winning 2 titles, and despite all previous celebration efforts of goofy and fake clownish efforts such as Lorezo Land nonsense, spaceman walk,...jumping into the pool. Lorenzo simply did not understand that he is not Rossi.
Contributing factor to his low popularity is because he won two lucky championships.
Is this the first time in history that the champion of the year is also the loser of the year?
