It's REALLY small.

At the 36th Tokyo Motorcycle Show

For reference, I'm about 1.68m short.

If anyone has ridden either the Thai Honda NSR150 or the Ital Honda NSR125, it's roughly similar in size, more the latter. What really struck me was the size of the screen, it's really small and when tucked behind, doesn't really inspire any wind slicing confidence. I suppose Pedrosa has to be smaller than me even.

A particular make was missing the action.

I'll put up the rest of the pics when I get back to Kobe. I took a lot of detailed shots of the TC systems and some bits here and there. Interesting how Honda and Yamaha's carbon discs seem to have different compositions.

I've had a an NSR150 here and found it cramped. My understanding is that with the (relatively) low terminal velocity of the 150 a smaller frontal area was more important than rider protection. My current 'round the island ride is a yammy TZM150 smoker and it fits my 185cm frame fine.

Only MotoGP bike I've seen like that was a GSVR on the Suzuki stand at Donington '06 - but they had a bloke there stopping us sitting on it like that.

You know, we have trains that can cut across the country in less time than it takes for a girl to have an orgasm, but in the spirit of being a rider and all, I decided it would be more fun to ride there, something of a 700km distance. My speedometer broke down at the 250km mark, googlemap says it's 575km, i say it's 1000000km. That's 18 hours non-stop riding, ONE WAY.

I'm going sleep till all the aches and sores sprout mushrooms, evolve into sentient beings and organise their own bit of 2 wheeled racing.

Then I'll clean up the pics and post them up.

What kind of bike do you ride? That's a long ride for one day...especially if you ride a sport. It wear you out fast leaning on your wrists all day.

Sorry for the delay guys, I didn't realise how much the fatigue had gotten to me.
That and work.
And a computer virus.

Anyway these are the motogp bikes. The rest of it is in another set.

Those leathers hanging there are the real stuff. Barros' was going for (relatively) cheap, around 150k yen.

Just note that I was only interested in capturing the details that you don't normally see in press pics so there aren't that many shots of whole bikes. Those, you can find here.
