Is Monaco 'Dangerous' As Such Nowdays?

I think that was dangerous...nowadays we don't have too much accidents or retirements so can it really be classes as dangerous? It may be dangerous compared to the other F1 circuits on the calendar but it's clearly nothing compared to the olden days.

Not with todays cars and the monocoque design.. I think the only real hazard is if one of the cars were to go over the back of another and plummet into the crowd (or maybe the sea) a la Le Mans 1955. In that case maybe the crowd are in more danger than the drivers..

Since both those incidents have happened in the past, they have been taken into account. The fences in Monaco are very strong and very tall it would be very difficult for a car to gain enough speed to jump over the fence in such a slow track.
And there are scuba divers on a boat ready to rescue a driver if he crashes and end up in the sea (like it happened many years ago!)

F1 is pretty safe in Monaco, but a bike race there would be suicidal, no way!!!
