In so many words,it sound like he thinks he could beat Mladin in AMA on the Yamaha. That goes along with what ive been saying for the last 3 years. It wasnt just the Suzuki that was so much better,it was the riders who were so much better on a very good bike.

The Suzuki wasn't exactly a .... bike though. On the other hand, look at Tommy Hayden, he wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire on his Suz.

Thank for the link. It was a better than average interview and somehow Spies comes off much more relaxed and more "human" than in other interviews. So much of what was said could easily be passed off as hype, Re: the quality of the Yamaha and the tires etc - especially re: how much more exciting WSB is over Moto GP. I just get the feeling he's really talking straight. It's good that he acknowledged how boring it is to watch one or two race leaders run away (his races with Mladin included). Makes me really look forward to next season.

You cant pass those test times off as hype. They really happened and i believe it suprised even him.Like he said, there is that lthing called self doubt when you junp to something new and that has been answered. He is at ease and ready to take on the world.

I definitely meant "could" be passed off. No arguments here.
