Read today that Hutchy is out of the TT this year, massive blow after he dominated last year with such class. This certainly opens up the door for a few of the others to get some wins in, but i wouldn't count out McGuinness, if things work out for him he can win several of the races.

Is that because he is still recovering Tom? or has he had another off?

Still recovering, apparently the surgeons told him to sit this one out for the good of his long term career. Shame, but smart really

I agree, thanks for letting me know. Is Conor Cummins back this yr?

I believe so, but i'm not sure. He's been racing British Superstock already which is amazing in itself.

I dont think Hutchy dominated last year ! He was lucky in most races that riders either broke down or crashed out, dont get me wrong he is fast but not domination speed. Further more I dont believe he would of won on the Yamaha.

Front runners this year Martin, McG, Amor, Dunlop.

Well i disagree, although more than normal circuit racing i'd say the TT is a team sport, bike preperation has to be emaculate with such a high risk of mechanical failure and pit stops as well. Hutchy, along with his team dominated the week convincingly in my opinion. Others had the speed but it didn't all come together like it needed to.

Two killed in TT sidecar crash

Two sidecar motorcyclists have died during a practice session at the Isle of Man TT races.

Bill Currie, 67, from Ellesmere Port, and his passenger, Kevin Morgan, 59, from Shrewsbury, were killed in the accident on Tuesday night.

Organisers brought the sidecar qualifying session to an end following the crash at Ballacrye on the north of the island.

In a statement, the sport's governing body, the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), said: "Bill was an experienced racer who first competed at the TT Races in 1969 when he recorded a third place finish. He finished eight in last year's TT sidecar race in his fastest ever race time.

"Kevin made his TT debut in 1984. This was the first year that the pair had competed together."

"Bill was divorced with two children and Kevin was single with two sons. The ACU wishes to pass on their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of both competitors."

ACU Events managing director Jim Parker said: "I have known both Bill and Kevin for many years and am deeply saddened by their untimely death. They were a huge part of the sidecar paddock and will be sorely missed by everyone involved in the event."

The ACU added that the coroner had been informed and an investigation into the accident was under way.

RIP

Jeez. I just saw the Cummins crash footage from 2010. Crazy. Just an ordinary high-speed low-side that turned into a wild ride off the side of the mountain and into a stone wall. Kid is really lucky to be alive b/c he bounced just before the wall and only suffered a glancing blow to his back as he cartwheeled over the top. Insane footage.

Terrible to hear that two have already been killed this year.
