let's say some at a race doe's not like who's leading. and towards the last laps runs out on the track disrupts the leaders so someone else can take the lead to win. what are the ramifications on the race doe's the guy that crosses the finish line first still win? besides that jerk going to jail. what do you think the rules say about it?. just a stupid question.

Person on track = red flag. Result taken from last completed lap.

Whether or not the person goes to jail has more to do with the jurisdiction that the race is held. I do believe the rules say something like, if 80% of the race has been completed and then a red flag comes out the race is then complete or something like that.

its two thirds (66.66%) race distance, and the question mentioned this being in the closing laps.

That said person would be torn to shreds by a furious crowd for ruining the race and ending it early.

You could ask race officials at the Mexican WSB round in Mexico City in the early/mid 90s. I recall reading that people/cars/vans crossed the track frequently. Thus, the race only remained on the schedule for that sole year. Am I remembering this correctly?
