IS ONBOARD? wow... very fast

I hope he will bounce back if he really moves to Ducati. The last word I read was that he admitted he is talking to the Ducati but he will consider Honda first.

shows nicks determination to win, and his loyalty
great qualities to have in your rider

I think Nicky is in quandry. On the one hand he is developing and racing the Pneumatic Engine. What will the bike be like after an off season of refinement? How good will it be? If we know anything Honda will not want to have Ducati or Yamaha atop of the series once again.

The bike will be great and Nicky will already at grips with it.

On the other hand there are still questions about the Ducati. Will he and the bike really be a good fit the way we all speculate. Will he get along with the Bridgestones?

He will have to adjust to a new bike, new team, new tyres and be competitive. It's not impossible but those are some serious questions to answer...

But... Like anyone who has wanted to leave one professional job for another.. Often times it is really easy to stay and much harder to leave.

If Sete (apparently riding the Duc from the Czech gp onwards) can finish in or close to the top 5 in any race then I believe that Nicki will be riding team red in 2009.

The only question regarding the ducati is regarding its reputation as a one rider bike, that aside, if it can be ridden by some other than Casey I think Nicki will jump on for a fresh start.

For what it's worth I want to see Nicki, a rider I like on a bike I like and on the podium. Preferably a podium with more than one Ducati.

The way i see it Nicky is not listened to at Honda... and wouldn't be anymore so as Stoners team mate.

Andrew,
I think that Nicky may need a fresh start. Other than Pete Benson, who really listens to Nicky in the Repsol Garage. I don't really trust Livio Suppo as he has thrown Elias/Guintoli under the bus a couple of times. All of that to say that if Nicky doesn't come in and right away come to grips with the bike - He may be on the short end of the ignored in the garage stick.

I am hoping that the increased Factory support of the satellite teams would mean more support all around, more competitive bikes all around but all in all I believe it comes down to $$$.

Tech 3 Yamaha has shown that a really capable satellite team brings in the $$$. Ducati is planning on doing the same to keep the Alice$$ flowing.

I wonder if Melandri's sick FP3 times @ Laguna and his race results will mean anything to Nicky's Situation.

Stoner keeps his setup, technical info and technician in a locked safe, you'd need a GPS to locate it
