How the North West was won

a good programme there Arra

i caught it last night on BBC-NI

A pity the weather and the other incident (there not worthy of a comment) fooked todays races up

So many memories pidg. Great to see shots of DJ again.

Had to laugh at the footage of Dave Taylor who wheelied around an entire lap - I used to have a poster of him on my wall as a kid. Also Kiyo eyeing up Miss North West

Fabulous tribute to an event with such a fascinating history.

If you watch this and are not moved by Michael Dunlop's 250cc win in 2009 then you have no soul.

first time i've seen a history of the NW200

the Taylor feat was something

i've not watched many racing progs this week and something rang a bell with me seeing your post and i only watched that last night

so if i'm correct i saw a fleeting glance of a "IRONS" name on some leathers

if it was Kenny Irons i saw his fatal accident at Cadwell on the warm up lap many years ago (RIP)

dont know why something has just jogged my memory on that

its good to see in these days of safer tracks health and safety etc Road Racing is thriving

Cheers A-rabb, I haven't watched it yet but I wanted something bike related to watch with me lunch.

I didn't spot that. Wasn't it Keith Huewen himself who he struck from behind after his bike had developed a misfire? I think he was harmlessly thrown off but was then hit by another rider following.
