Am I one of the few people here who really rates John Hopkins as a REALLY good rider? I mean look at the French GP when he was keeping up with Rossi (till he overcooked it), it seems that when the Suzi works well, so does he. I can't help but thinking that if he was on a Honda or Ducati he would be a consistent top 5 finisher.

Oh, and the fact he's really a BRIT(he was only BORN in America(NO, I'm not spreading Anti American .....))

no you have'nt met hector/captain snow. he's a major hopper supporter. but if ya ask me i think he's a bit overated. especially with what cv did on the suzi this season. kinda made hopper look bad.

yeah CaptainBallSack loves Hopper.

no way i think he is a wasted talent on the suzuki. put him on a competitive bike, race winner no dought about it. he rides his balls off every weekend.

but then the suzuki could suprise us all. They have been pushing hard all year developing this high rev engine, very similar design to f1 i.e. pneumatic valves, which allow astronomicaly high revs, although create problems as we seen in the first few round with top end lubrication as the bike is lent right over. but who knows its all a bit of an enigma right now as to who will come out on top, needless to say itll be the same old faces.

Hopkins ran well at Turkey and Assen until he faded away (tires?). He got a good result at Shanghai (4th). Although Moley did show him up at Laguna. Hopper seems to have some pace, now let's get him on a good bike!

I hope the new chassis does not make the Zook go backwards, I would like to see more than just three competitive makes on the grid next year.

I agreed, but Suzuki promises to be great this year. (wait, they said that last year.)

Hopper is a very good racer indeed.

Here is what the insightful Mr. Shupe had to say, and frankly, I agree. The guy reminds me of Hayden the year before he won the AMA championship.

He's got some form of talent.... somewhere, just not so much on a Suzuki.

Apparently he didn't do too badly in that F1 car?

^ I just read about that too. Apparently, he and luizzi both liked testing a car and a bike respectively. Do you reckon he'd have a career switch?

They could base one on the Suzuki liana 4wheel drive i have

lol for anyone who knows what they are like
And do a reality program called "i'm a formula 1 driver get me out
of here" involving the swap.

I agree with you I've rated Hopper for a few years now.
Don't know about the brit thing though, if you're born in america you're a yank. It's amazing how many americans claim they're not;irish, italian, african, anything but american.

His parents are both British citizens and on the 'Faster' film he explained that his whole family is from England, except him as he was born in the USA.

his entire family are english but if he's born in the usa - and has a us passport - he's american.

maybe we should claim him anyway - let's face it we haven't got any other moto gp hopefulls.

Well I've claimed him already!

He's the only good British talent out there.

Intresting story:
When he does well the news show him as Anglo-American (British American). When he does poop he is just said to be American.
Little weird isn't it??

Hopper is one of the best riders out there on poop machinery.
Thank God Nakano made a move he is one of the best rders out there too! I hope Suzuki give Hopper a good bike because he needs one badly!

For the last two contract renewals he has had talks with Ducati but for some reason he always goes back to Suzuki.

They might have something cooking in the Suzuki factory this year though. Hopper's role was something like Hayden's. He tested alot of parts during the year while CV rode a bulletproof bike. The difference was not as drastic as the Hondas but there was.

And CV did make him look a bit foolish sometimes but theres nothing I can do about that. Good thing I like him too if not I'd be mad! lol

Oh and I haven't said this in a while, lets get the fire started and mouths running.

I believe John Hopkins is the best American talent on the grid.

Flame away.
