I've never heard anything bad about Ting?  Why?  Was there some controversy?

Every now and than you're hear some reporter try to uncover dirt on Ting, for a quick major story. Makes national news just about everytime too, since it is "Ting" they're talking about. Gasp, he has had people complain; since all doctors should be above reproach... thats simply unacceptable! I think msn news even had a reporter suggest he lose his medical license for trying to many "unprecedented-risky" procedures.

I wanted to go see him for my injuries (since he's in the Bay Area) but I heard he got his medical license suspended for handing out painkillers like candy.

I don't know much about Dr. Ting other than he works on a ton of riders, a lot of riders in the AMA series anyways. It wouldn't surprise me if there is contraversy around his practicing with pain killers, his riders are back out in a matter of weeks.
 
I'm actually surprised to hear any controversy regarding Dr. Ting but now as I write this I do recall reading something about the Overprescription issue. Hell if he can get these guys out and racing within two weeks that is amazing. Eh who cares that he is a bit liberal if his patients can thrive with his methods.

Dr Ting not only heals motorcycle athletes. NFL members also go to him to be put back together. He knows his stuff!!!

It certainly seems like all the American racers go to see Dr. Ting, be it road racers or motocrossers everyone sees Dr. Ting. I thought I had read somewhere that he used to do a lot of work for riders in the 80s and into the 90s just like Dr. Costa but then went away, assumingly about the time he went under scrutiny for his "malpractice". I could be wrong all together but I thought I read something along those lines.
