Oh I get plenty of clunge with my looks, it's the lack of teeth that the ladies love

I was not happy with the suites in austin this year, not food or drink, kept going down to this velocity lounge which was suppose to be open just to club members but seems they let anyone in. my other big complaint about COTA was that I had to spend half the morning going back and forth between to different ticket offices doing all my credentials for my passes, no one seemed to know was was going on, one office was in turn 15 area the other by the main grand stand so it was quite a hike.

all in all its still a world class race track, and Austin is always a lot of fun. Ill be at indy in a few months to do it all over again, probably contact the suite lady

DUDE! THE BACK AND FORTH WAS CRAZY. I was at the ticket stand by the paddock, then they sent me to the one by turn 15, then they sent me to turn one & then back to the paddock. And which suites were you in this year? I was on the second floor of the paddock & thought the food was great!

Austin is a .... event in terms of organization and treating the attendees like they're wanted. Austin is sterile and un-friendly. Indy in my experience is the complete opposite. Sure the track sucks and the place has no character but the event is top notch.

I was not on the paddock side I was on the grand stand side, I was a little upset, because I originally want to be on the paddock side, and the guy I was talking to said that they did not have anything on the paddock side, only to find out that they actually did.

now I have had good experiences at COTA in the past, everyone has always seemed polite and nice, but this year was different, none of the people working there seemed to know anything.

I camped at Indy last year and had a great time. I thought about getting a room this year, then I started calling around. Camping it is! I did ended up cleaning myself with bottled water as the pos shower always seemed to be out of order when I wanted to use it. ( think it did the job, no one plugged their nose around me.) I might just try and hit up a truck stop shower this year, unless the one at the campground is working better this time around. I can't comment on how getting the paddock passes, as I get mine a different way. I will say this, if you have a motorcycle, bring it! Getting around town is much easier if you have one.

Granted I sat in the reserved section just past the start finish line during the race, I think if you stake your claim early you can get some good seating with GA tickets. I watched one of the practice sections sitting on the hill at the corner before the back straight and I thought it was a nice spot. The guys I camped next to, who had GA tickets, sat at the end of the game section on the front straight right before the corner and were thoroughly happy with it. They had some real nice pictures, and I'm sure the sound of downshifting bikes was amazing.

By pure luck, i got into the pagoda and watched sat morning practice. Now that was an experience. There is no way I would pay for that view though!

I camped at Laguna. Laguna is crowded and small but it's an absolutely special place. I would go every year for life if there was still an event there.

If you'e going for Beth's suite-
As far a General admission goes there a berms all over the place for great single turn viewing. The first few years I went I sat at the very top of turn 1 (the last row in fact) and it was pretty great. I think you can see 5 or 6 different turns from there.
