I haven't watched AMA racing in forever, but didn't DMG make some kind of rule years ago that allowed 1100cc Buells to run with 600cc supersport machines? That makes the 200cc BS in WSBK seem almost reasonable by comparison.

McWilliams rode it in '06. It could have been powered by Rocketdyne but still wouldn't have put in a decent lap at Laguna.

KiddyK, if we've learned something this week, its that we shouldn't always believe what HRC claims.

Oh, and grow some skin man.

How about you approach things as an exchange of views, and not as a way for you to flout your (obvious) superiority? Every. ........ Time.

I gotta hand it to Kiddy .....

He may have set the record for most times a newb has whined about forum tone and still stuck around.

You're butt hurt because I responded to your assertion that Honda merely took the RCV-R "off the shelf". Thats is what u are taking issue with and you're not fooling anybody with your pouting. My response was benign enough. So you're essentially butt hurt by an exchange of ideas...because it was your idea that was refuted. Like I said, grow some skin. U can try to be the forum nanny, we've had our share.

Rob would adamantly disagree with u. Regardless, McWilliams had notable success on another American brand of motorcycle once. At Indy.

No I'm not - I don't have a problem with discussion, or argument, but the WAY you go about it says a lot about your inability to accept any point of view other than your own. Exchange of ideas? You don't do that. You pontificate then attack anyone that has the temerity to disagree with you. See your post above.

If there's one theme that seems to follow thread after thread, going back years on here, it's you attacking anyone and everyone that disagrees with you. Maybe you should look at who it is that is out of step? How many people have you driven away?  10? 20? 50? 100? Are you proud of that?

I don't mind argument in any form, but you don't argue, you belittle and berate - not an attractive quality in an adult.

And your assertion is still incorrect - the RCV-R is the 2013 factory bike, less slick box and pneumatics. If anyone is 'butt hurt' over that it's you. Do I need to find the multiple releases from HRC stating exactly that, or do you concede you were wrong?

I don't come here to argue, I don't have a superior knowledge to flaunt or a need to always be right. I am just as happy to ask a question as to make a statement, but it seems you aren't. I have no desire to be a forum nanny, but I do expect that I am treated with some measure of respect, as befitting anybody in conversation with anybody else. It's simple courtesy and a pretty good rule-of-thumb for human discourse.

Maybe I do need to 'grow some skin', but you need to grow up.

Couldnt agree more with pretty well everything you said...

How many people have you driven away Jumkie? I would say at least a dozen.....it is one of the reasons I rarely if ever engage you anymore.

I am pretty pissed that your highest profile casualty does not visit here very often (if at all) - it is a real shame as it was great to have someone with inside knowledge adding their voice to the forum....

PS Kiddy...there is an ignore button - I have yet to use it but its there if you feel inclined.

kiddy... we get back to the fact that here, as in life, people have different 'styles'... Jum's may well 'rub you (and others) the wrong way' because of your belief and value system(s). As Mr Squig points out, there is the ignore option, or you can do what I do and skim read Jum's posts (unless I intend to engage him) ignoring the bits which aren't suited to your sensitivities...

What, I believe, no one here wants is a contrived politeness like a municipal/town-hall meeting. I, for one, value the variety of personalities and 'styles' we have here and the 'wild west' nature of Powerslide. There are other sites which cater to a more polite style of debate and I have seen a number of former PS members happily posting in the more 'moderated' sites.

Going back to an analogy used here many times: Everyone picks their local pub by their own propensity to enjoy themselves with the other patrons. Some like rowdy biker bars, some like sports bars, blues bars, jazz bars etc ad infinitum... Would you walk into a bar and tell the other patrons you don't like the way they do things - or would you walk down the street top another pub where things are more to your taste?

Kiddyk, u like Mr Quibble are pouting because I had the gumption to challenge your opinions. I remember exactly the moment Mr Quibble took issue with me, its when he perceived I supported Stoner 99%. To him anything less than total worship was unacceptable. I dont give two ..... how either of u feel about my posts given both of u are pansys who dont have enough sense to disengage those that fluster u. Kiddy, so u dont come here to be a nanny? Thats odd, u were all nanny about people challenging "in-sider", now here ur going all nanny again. Eat a .... for all I care. U can .... off to where ever else the supposed people ive driven off have gone. Haha who the hell gets butt hurt from posts they can skip or ignore? Not very smart. Sanctimonious prick thinking you're the only adult here. :....:

What a class post. It shows you up for what you are.

Me, I prefer to treat people online the same way I would face to face. You, obviously not, you still seem to have all your teeth.

Your still reading my posts? I guess they really dont bother u much. U just want to use the forum to pat yourself on the back then. In real life ive never been discussing racing and some pansy interject and demand we should sing kumba ya before proceeding to the finer points of prototype machine particulars.

Truth hurts Mrs. Quibble. U used to love my posts when I was dropping debate bombs on Stoner detractors. My style was ok by u then. Oh but the moment I said Casey was human, well then my style became unacceptable. Haha. Boner. Anyway im glad u didnt commit suicide. U didn't stop posting as much because of little oh me. U stopped coming here because Stoner left. Period.

Its getting serious now

Mick D has stepped in like he always does and applied a last line of defense to help shore up Pansy K's wavering resolve.

Its getting easier now huh mick? You just have to cut-and-paste your comments from the last distraught newbie
