I don't do Facebook,  I don't do Twatter,  I don't do Forums.  I talk to my friends,  I found this place while sending some e mails and waiting for PI qualifying,  I don't care about your ex members and their issues, I did however take a good look around after logging off, and well, to be honest there are some smart people on here, but just chill, anyway my credentials are very checkable, I do work for KHI, I was very much involved in the MX partnership between KHI and Suzuki, I believe you have an ex MCN guy on here, I worked for Alec Wright, I know his son Colin Wright, I left after seven years and moved to Belgium, I am now back in the UK. but if this is how you treat a newcomer then, I am done, sorry but calling me a liar is a no no, Enjoy PI and don't forget, you are in for a shock next year, and Nicky will at least podium. good bye. See here we go again, so now Nicky is going to podium on a production bike lmfao, Rossi can barely podium on a full factory bike. Wait you do know there are only 3 podium spots right? You better stick around insider, because you ran your mouth so now you need to back it up.

With respect.  your complaints carry no weight at all.  It is possible that you are in a position to hear the opinions of people very much in the know about the Honda production racer, maybe you even have seen some information yourself above and beyond what the general motogp fan gets. But if you really do work in a technical business at this level, you cannot possibly be naive enough to not realise it is common for people to make .... up on the internet, so you would understand why your points are not immediately taken seriously.


 


Also, I repeat it may be true that you know something that most on here don't, but you do yourself no favours by starting a topic simply telling everyone that they are wrong because you say so.  Your original post hardly suggested you wanted an intelligent discussion, more that you wanted to play opinion top trumps.  That being the case, you will fit in very well here, so welcome.

That would be great. You need to grow some thicker skin though. Opinions are both appreciated and hotly contested here, insider knowledge is always a plus, but arguments from authority usually (and in my opinion rightly) are usually attacked.
 
Proof of the cooking is in the tasting.


Lap times are one thing, racing under race conditions quite another.


I hope you're right as more competitive bikes is always a good thing in our sport.

What I'm saying is that your original post in this topic was pretty well aligned with the replies you got.  It is unreasonable of you to play victim and get on a high horse given the way you conducted yourself to start with.  Don't worry about it though, place is pretty light hearted


 


Anyway I am hoping you're right.  Being the Honda fan I am I have faith the bike will be good.  I think a podium in 'normal' circumstances is optimistic to say the least, but I would expect the bike to be in the area if not slightly ahead of where factory Ducati/Aspar are now.  The big question of course is how the MGM forward yamahas go.

Prudent on our part if you've surfed the site a bit. I stand by my post, it was well within the flavour/tone of Powerslide. When Dave Emmet (Kropotkin - MottoMAtters.com) first started posting he took the same (and since MUCH more!) until long-time members were certain of his bonafides and that he wasn't someone jerking us (as has happened many times). Not caring about ex members and forum issues has left you vulnerable as this is a community with history - like a family or close-knit group of friends.

My pet theory is that this forum is run by a bunch of psychology students who are studying aggression and hostile social interaction in an unmoderated forum.  It seems that every time this place gets a little too quiet, one of the many agitator shills/'members' spews a pile of .... and whips the crowd into a froth.  (How else to explain some of the grossly damaged personalities that this .... hole attracts?)


 


While there are occasional flashes of brilliance, the overall tone of the forum is that of a mean-spirited dive bar.  Enter at your own risk, and try not to let the mindless hostility get to you.
