Hello All!

I've been an avid fan of Motogp and motorcycle racing in general for a very long time, but this is my first time on a Motogp forum. I have to say I can't wait to get a chance to discuss opinions about everything moto with all of you. But first, I figured I'd introduce myself.

It wasn't the racing that led me to bikes, it was the bikes that led me to racing. Since my first ride on a sport bike I was hooked. I became obsessed with bikes, with racing, and with the discipline of pursuing perfection between rider and bike. I recently moved to Austin, Texas where I work as an engineer doing custom fabrication and tuning for high performance engines and bikes. Earlier this year I began preparing to race my own bike under my own team (on a local level, of course). So as you can imagine, I devour every piece of advice, analyze every wiggle and slide the bikes make, and study every move the riders make in Motogp. Anyway, I'm glad there's a forum like this for fans to come together to discuss motorcycle racing and I look forward to reading what you all have to say!

Unfortunately we won't be attending any track days at COTA or otherwise until early November at the earliest. COTA track days are expensive, and we want to hold off until our remote telemetry and engine management systems are in place so we make the most of our time/money. Personally I think COTA is a great track to use as a starting point for fine tuning the bike's mechanics and electronics, as it has a very diverse track layout and I look forward to reviewing the data we collect. Obviously you can never fully push a race bike on an open track day without getting kicked out, but we'll take it corner by corner and hopefully it will be a good starting point as we prepare for the 2015 season. Plus it'll be great to get some face/track time with some of the local riders.
