Not surprised to see Nicky take the high road right now. I wish I could be the fly on the wall in Valencia, I can't help but think Nick will have some parting shots for Puig and Pedrosa out of the media spotlight.

<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%That's typical of Nicky, He's such a nice guy!

He deserves better, I hope his move to Ducati will prove to be a good one!

I'll certainly be cheering him on next year.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Indeed, Hayden admits it would have been easy for Honda to 'fold up' on him once he had confirmed he was Ducati bound for 2009, but he has praised them for helping him gain momentum in the closing stages of the season. This is pretty much what Rossi said too about Honda in his book. After he made the announcement to move to Yamaha, he was pleasantly surprised about the complete support he got from Honda till the very end. http://www.amazon.com/What-If-Had-Never-Tr...8917&sr=8-9

Nicky is like a mob boss, he's got hitmen like me to do it, and trust, I'm on the case; I'm hiring a team of midget ninjas to nunchuck these two in their sleep.

I take it that everybody missed Nicky's reply to Puig's statements?

Nicky is taking the high road but not without a final lil stab

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Anyway, I [Roar Racer X dude] happened to have Nicky on the phone yesterday for a magazine story, and when I mentioned the Puig interview to him in passing, he actually laughed, though he resisted the temptation to enter into a game of ...-for-tat. “I was just proud that two years later, he finally admitted it was Dani’s fault for knocking me down in Portugal!” Nicky chuckled. “I really don’t want to get into a cat fight back and forth with a guy’s manager. I think he showed real clear what kind of person he is—he’s a rider who had a big accident, threw the towel in, and now he tries to live his career through Dani.”

Somebody got their claws out.

Or, he could simply get Earl to go put a southern smackdown on their ....

He's a gentleman plain and simple, he burns no bridges and gives it his all.

Honda should take him back in a second and with a gilt edged apology.

For their lack of candour and fairness with Nicki even us athiests pray he gets on that red bike and kicks every Honda's arse.

I'm glad to hear HRC will be giving Hayden full support until season's end because HAYDEN WILL NOT GIVE UP ON HRC.

On another note, I'm sure Honda are eager to have Nicky develop the bike Andrea and Pedrosa will be using to try and beat him next year.

HRC the most poisoned chalice of all teams. Consistently the best bikes. Consistently the worst paddock to work in.
