Here are some pictures I took last Saturday at the AHDRA event in Bristol. This series is a lot of fun. The events are real enthusiast affairs, with great access to the riders and bikes. These events have even made me like Harleys!

AHDRA got some televised coverage years ago but not so much now. Jay Turner who is leading the top fuel championship at the moment lived right down the street from me and attended the same school. He and my brother played football together and we would hang out at his parents house in our younger days, he was drag racing motorcycles way back then, it would seem he's pretty good at it.

Cool! How long ago was it that AHDRA was on TV? What network?

I really enjoyed the pro stockers too. Unlike the Vance & Hines bikes running NHRA PSM, these had the air-cooled sound, which was awesome in that state of tune!

Cool pic's........

I haven't been to watch drag racing in years........Santa Pod 1980'something I think.

Loud and fast, there's on better combination!

Shupe I want to say it was back in the mid-90's and I think it was shown on what is today's Spike Network but don't quote me on that? I'll have to do some google'n and see what I can find.

That's TNN, which wouldn't surprise me. That network was the .... back then. 90s NASCAR, ASA, some IMSA and Trans-Am, World of Outlaws, fun times!

Why is it that Harleys attract tub-o-guts guys with their belly hanging over their belts, like flies to ....?

Other than on the oval - I never see skinny or normal guys ridin' Harleys.

Obviously youre looking in all the wrong places. I'm a prime example of one of the normal guys

I've seen lots of fatsos on Harleys. I've also seen plenty of skinny/normal types.

Kesh, could you imagine fat dudes riding anything else?
<

Haha I've seen both on Harleys too but, I've also seen some fat guys on sport bikes too.

Goldwings seem to have a similar fat guy attraction as well.

Now be honest with me for this one: have you seen anyone under 70 on the factory trike?
