Kesh is taking pledges and making promises to reduce the trolling-reaction cycle that you can see he isn't keeping.

Its hilarious that Kesh didn't look at the list of threads board when he tried to defend his trolling of the thread by saying he was just making a disapproving comment on the 'obnoxious excessive threads about Rossi', oops, because he would have noticed YOU making threads about Rossi like gangbusters. Hilarious.

But when jumkie you bigsparrows and synn get on here posting pages and pages of pure crap about your bitchy little vendetta ...... its useless.

Other than seeing what ......... you are.

Well first of all, Kesh registered his "bitchy little vendetta" post number 5. So you should take up your concern with him. JP and I have at least the balls to call out Kesh on his broken promises. You on the other hand enable him, you are not part of the solution. Maybe if you and theo had said, Kesh, come on dude, this is a good thread, post about great performances instead of 'not ignoring the guy you said you were going to ignore' then maybe we could make some progress. Why didn't you do that?

Try harder to stick to racing. Or go and start another forum ..... though we know how crap that was in the past.

Uhm, Kesh destroyed that other forum too, so thank him.

You mean like this list of obnoxious surfeit (excessive/too much) Rossi hagiography/(evil in reverse) threads started:

Rossi has aparently “spat the dummy” Barry Machine
Rossi is now blaming electronics Barry Machine
Can Rossi win another race?...where? Barry Machine

Did you troll these obsessive threads immediately? Why not? Barry's threads are in the same TROLLING vein as you assigned to Synn!

Like I said, your own words betray you. You trolled this thread 5 posts in because you wanted to register your disapproval (from a guy you claimed to ignore). Meanwhile Barry is doing the same .... you describe above, like a machine, adding threads excessively to assure us Rossi is the evil (reverse to Synn) or as you said "obnoxious surfeit of Rossi hagiography". I'll say it again, Barry's excessive production of threads are in the same TROLLING vein as you assigned to Synn! Will you include these in your list too?

Just be a man about it Kesh. Admit you ...... up, admit you treated this thread using a double standard for which you are unwilling to treat Barry Machine's obsessions, and move on.

Clog dance the night away!

It was a tasty thread with no discord until The Jumkie Calvary came to rescue it.

Kesh posted one and you jumped all over it with 4 or 5 posts
As for saying Rossi in a thread thats not trolling. end of !

I made ONE comment about Kesh's post. The 4 or 5 posts came in reply to Kesh and YOU shamelessly defending the trolling. This is confusing to you?

One comment to point out Kesh trolling (which is a fact that even you acknowledged) and what happened? Oh yeah: Kesh, Theo, Barry Machine had to come and chime in. Follow the sequence below.

Not really. No trolling. Commenting on an obnoxious surfeit of Rossi hagiography threads started just in the course of like two weeks.

"Is valentino rossi the greatest"
"I like Valentino Rossi"
"Greatest ride of all time from the greatest rider of all time"

The only thing I'm guilty of is having a strong opinion. I didn't insult anyone or say someone was stupid or make racist comments. Simply pointed out that one thread about the greatness of Rossi is sufficient. Once the thread took on a life of it's own and diverted to talking about rides by people other than "The GOAT" I went with the flow and peacefully participated.

Why even make the comment if you have synn on ignore?

If I disliked someone that much that it led me to put them on ignore, I would not be making comments in a topic they started, a topic no less on a rider I don't like. I'm no Rossi fan but this topic actually turned out to be pretty interesting regardless of the original post being about Phillip Island 2003, which was a good ride even if I can't stand Rossi.

I have no vendetta Barry, and if you get your eyes checked I have not said anything about this till this topic.

I post plenty about racing. In fact I'd go as far to say you contribute almost nothing to this forum in general as your posts are vapid, lack any intellect or insight, and mostly are to bash Rossi.

How's that ........?

Amigo - I made no personal remarks to or about Synn. And nobody gave the comment much attention. I registered my displeasure in a mild way. And the thread went merrily on it's way and everybody was enjoying it until Jumkie with his axe to grind, jumped in with one of his longwinded, pedantic, overbearing whinges. As has been said, everyone here at one time or another feels free to say they like or don't like this or that. If Jumkie had just kept his mouth shut the thread would have just kept on rolling.

Jumkie is to blame for calling you out on your trolling when you took the no-troll pledge? The problem isn't your trolling, but those who are calling you out on your trolling?

Long winded whines? Kesh, I made one brief statement (two whole sentences) about your trolling attempt and the possible malfunction of the 'ignore button', everything else that has followed has been replies to you, Theo, and Barry defending your trolling.

4 posts into the thread and you tried to derail it. Oh well, so much for the “ignore” button, perhaps it doesn’t work properly.
Hola Yaya!

The button works just fine - I don't see his posts but couldn't miss the thread.

Have to say your post is ...... Back in the day - the number one ........ accusation from you and JKD was Net Nanny Net Nanny Net Nanny and now the huarache is on the other foot. You always did play it from both sides of the fence.

The thread is doing just fine. Nobody is bitching and moaning except you. Stop cloggin' the thread.

And Kesh, I wasn't the first person to point out that you failed to ignore a member that you had announced/promised you would ignore! Go back to the first two pages. Pye, JK, Gaz, MikeM all acknowledged directly or indirectly the legitimacy of the thread contrasted to you registered disapproval. Instead of you saying, my bad Jum, you're right, I trolled a guy I announced to ignore, lets move on, it would have ended there. But your pride and lack of self-control was too much and you had to lash out in anger. Look again above, that is my quote, talk about 'mild'. But no, you had to defend your honor, and draw more attention to the fact you fail to ignore the people you put on ignore! Just admit you trolled (mildly or not) take responsibility, and we can all move on peacefully. No shame in admitting a mistake, we all do make mistakes. How we react to mistakes is the measure of a man's character.

Its crazy, right?

Actually, speaking of 'crazy' you just reminded me of lil John...

I post plenty about racing.

That reminds me of a great all/one time performance:

John Kocinski 1994, Cagiva, Eastern Creek. He was in a world of his own in this race.

God that Cagiva was a gorgeous bike. Talk about laying the smackdown on the field.

You made an announcement that you would ignore synn along with several others and then proceed to run into this topic to make a comment that was a total troll comment. Like I said, if I disliked someone enough to post that I was ignoring them, the absolute last thing I would do is post in any topic of theirs. That is where the problem lies; posting in a topic of a poster you had a war with across multiple topics.

Type type type. Blah blah blah.

Actually Kesh, you reminded me of a race where people were behaving very similar to you, lacking self-control and ultimately playing their part in derailing their own supposed self-interest. Watch the last lap.

Holy crap, that was a scary scene! You can see Alex Criville is distracted, probably wondering, ...., should I slow down? That track invasion must have been totally unnerving to the Spaniard since he was in the lead. The guy waving the big Spanish flag right in Criville's face, damn that is insane.

Michael Doohan was unfazed and saw the opportunity to close up the gap and win. Really highlights the difference between the greats and the rest. Yes Alex Criville was world champion of 1999, but he folded under the pressure at Jerez. That high side was vicious. I'm surprised it wasn't worse for him when that happened.

4 posts into the thread and you tried to derail it. Oh well, so much for the “ignore” button, perhaps it doesn’t work properly.

Good to see you haven’t left us Pye. After the above post I scrolled through a few pages expecting to find another torpedoed thread, I’m glad it wasn’t derailed 5 posts in, hope burns eternal, but it looks like this thread has stayed fairly on point. Kudos to Synn for not reacting to Kesh’s trolling attempt (who said he had put Synn on “ignore” btw). Maybe in this way we can have most of the threads moving along smoothly. There is a race this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Hey Pye, maybe as a peace offering to the universal race gods for not letting this thread CRASH, we could include one of Cuntslows race wins on this thread?

Nah, forget it, I’m not that hopeful about the future of this forum. :),

Maybe, but at least Synn didn’t react, perhaps as Pye says, a start to a better way? Baby steps, you never know, it may all go to .... just as fast. .... and fast, that reminds me of Brno 2014.

Yeah, but Dubs was right in pointing out the trolling attempts, light helps make things clear, and kudos to synn for not biting.

Speaking of fast, its easy to talk about CS at PI, but I’d like to remember his 2011 performance at Brno. Its memorable to me also because Marco Simonchelli podiumed there, and I felt that it was a moment where he started to reconsider his approach to racing. Nothing like a little success to make you re-think what works and what doesn’t. The performance was significant because the Hondas were working there, and Stoner was the best of the Honda riders. This actually reminds me of a great performance by Pedrosa too, it was a two way battle (can’t remember year at the moment) but I do remember Pedros ending Marc’s win streak at Brno in 2014. Stoner came out on top that day, and considering it was on his way to his title winning season, it has to rank up there as one of the great performances.

Wait, so you don't "see" Synn's post, but you know its someone on your "ignore" list, and this prompted you to troll the thread blindly? That's fascinating. What's the point of using the ignore feature if you ignore it?

Well, let's see who is playing nanny:

You registered your disapproval of this thread, that is, you try to 'control' the content of the forum, that's what nannies do genius.

Actually Kesh, I was late to this thread but I did notice some others pointing out an attempt to derail the thread and the side conversation about it. Pye replied to you expressing that Synn had yet not abused anybody and expressed hope for the thread, Mdub pointed out a tally of trolling attempt highlighting the fact Synn had not overreacted, Gaz and MikeM acknowledged that the thread is legit until it's not, so no, I'm not the only one "bitching" about it. I'm holding you accountable Kesh, the onus is on you, not only did you pledge but you said you finally discovered the ignore! I'm not gonna let you just troll a thread and let it slide when you're the only one making promises. You said you were going to ignore 'your' trolls, you're doing a piss poor job of it given post #5 was a trolling attempt, and off topic I might add. Take responsibility, say something like, my bad, .... you could have deleted the post since it was out of place. You're the one making pledges and promises. The thread is about great performances, so you don't need to express your disapproval.

Now let's move on. Talk about some great performances, can we do that? We don't need your permission. You know any great performances people can talk about? Add one instead of poo pooing the thread immediately as you did. Give this place a chance!

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

I wonder if Mick would've been so ruthless if he were at PI and those invading the track were Aussies?

It's a good question. Though I honestly can't imagine the Aussies doing this, but I'll say that Doohan and Crevilli were very different. I think Alex was affected more because he was in lead, whereas Mick was focused on the Spaniard. Second, I do think Doohan was more compulsively driven to win than Criville. In the unlikely even the Aussies invaded the track, and Doohan is in the lead with Criville in tow, I still imagine Alex blinking. Of course it's totally speculation on my part.

What did each rider have to say about the invasion? I have don't remember.
