ok can u please give me your honest opinion to the possible rossi move to f1.i myself dont follow f1 but being a rossi fan an have been for many years i will no doubt take a intrest in the progress of his move.

f1 lacks the excitetment and danger as it used to an its gone off the boil in many ways.the rules keep
changing and im sure the drivers feel as if they dont no if there coming or going.

the guy is talented on a motorbike and luckily in a F1 car too ...
all the tests he has been doing with ferrari(?)

seem to be going well, and i cant really see any reason why he wouldnt take up the offer in 2007

i cant say that im a fan of rossi, i never could conform to that club ... but yeh, he is talented enough

F1 is crap....

This topic has been moved to Other Motorsport Chat.

I am excited for the move to F1. As much as I love to watch a living legend ride I would like to see someone else have a chance at a title. On the same note, if there is anyone who has a shot of repeating John Surtees' success it's Valentino Rossi. I for one want him to go and to win.

i've gone off F1 a little recently but i do think this season will be better.

as far as rossi's move goes i dont think it will happen anytime soon. i think it might depend on whether he gets bored of winning the title on two wheels. if no one can really challenge him this or next season he may decide to make the switch

I'd like to see him leave GP, not because I don't like him, I got a bit of a soft spot for him, but GP would get a lot more exciting. Especially if Yamaha suffered from Honda Syndrome after Rossi left.
But I think seeing Rossi striving for top ten finishes in a sport as boring as F1 wouldn't be good. Rossi might have a chance of winning an F1 championship, but it's only a slim one. F1's a very competitive sport. I know GP is too, but Rossi os the king of GP, he'd be just another driver in F1.
Sure he's got skill, it takes skill just to drive the thing, but there's a difference between doing a few fast laps in a ferrari and beating Alonso.

i know im a rossi fan but i really cant believe u want a great racer and personality to leave moto gp, if dani started winning every week every year ud b wanting him to leave also, rossi wins a lot titles yeah but hasnt he earnt it?

i agree with this. not a big fan but love to watch the guy ride..... amazing!

I'm not discounting his championships and I'm not saying I'm bored of him and I'm not saying I don't like him. What I'm saying is that this is the greatest pure talent motorcycling has ever seen. I for one would like to see him tackle a completely new and different challenge and see how he fares because if there is anyone who can do it, it's Valentino Rossi.

rather see him stay right where he is. maybe on the kr bike instead of the yammi!

I don't want him to leave, it would damage the sport and be less entertaining. Besides, GP's better than F1 anyway

In 1 way I can se him movin 2 F1 becouse he iz probobly board of motogp and hes made his point by bieng da champ i belive 7 times I think lolol (ive lost count lol) and he probably wants 2 show the world that he is the master of motersport.

but on the other hand I dont think the rossi fanz would be happy (and there alot of u)so they would either lose intrest in the sport or PROTEST PROTEST LOL.And the compotition would be boring.

what would you rossi fanz do ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

i hope he dosn't move over to f1, i do like f1 as well but it just wouldn't be the same if rossi moved for me:'(

i wouldnt do f1 any favours hes our legend so i hope he stays, u all say lets have it competative so now we have marco, nicky starting to get podiums and little dani, taking rossi out of this would not be fair and take away lots of argy bargy battles, oh not forgetting loris whos on fire, .... and stoner, c wot i mean theres plenty of fun to b had yet vale,, plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz dont goooooooooooo

i'm starting to lean this way. i don't think our boy likes this kind of pressure to much. it cramps his joy!

Yeah, Frosty's right. Rossi has always been about fun. Thats why he left Honda, because HRC are all about business, not realizing actually winning is more important. Yamaha on the other hand, did realize that winning was more important, and to win they needed Rossi. And to keep Rossi they had to keep him happy. He could get away with murder in the CYT pit and get paid millions for it as long as he`s winning.
It wouldnt be the same in F1, because like I said, he`s not the king. He wouldnt win every week, hed have to do whatever his bosses say or face the axe. Not a situation someone like Rossi would be happy in. He`s always been a smart guy, so I`m predicting he`ll race until he can sense he`s just past his prime, then retire, quit while he`s ahead and in typical Rossi fashion leave the world in awe. For the next 10 years people would be saying "What if Rossi stayed?"
If he really likes fanging ferraris so much, why not buy an enzo and buy a racetrack in italy. He gets paid enough.

The more I think about it the more I think it is less likely Rossi will actually go and I've known this for a while. I just think the prospect of Rossi taking on the best car drivers in the world is so exciting I really want him to do it. Here's another idea, anybody think Rossi will get bored of two wheels after winning an 800cc title and move to a more relaxed DTM series?

Intersting oost, but I dont think theres enough money or glory there for Rossi. You know what hes like

I think it would be rallying before Gran Turismo cars for Rossi. But that seems like a distant problem.

BTW I think Rossi is not going to F1 because he is a crap F1 driver.
