Hi frnds,i am a mechanical engineering student and is looking for something related to motorcycles as my final year project,..any ideas apart from air bike or e-bike?yeah,i have looked into that but cant do it due to budget constraints..any idea, even a simple one would be welcome..

Alternatively, you could look into the way rear suspension movement interracts with torque through the drive chain. Maybe design an alternative to a rear swinging arm using a multibar linkage so that the axle travels in a bath which remains a constant distance from the output sproket. i haven't given it any serious thought but it's the first Idea that has come to mind

Thanx dude,i live in india,so i may not be able to procure all the equipments and parts available to you out there.also it would cost twice as much here.i will definitely look into the idea you just mentioned.thanks again.

a team at my school that were a few years older than me converted there old bike by having it run on bio-fuels. could be a cool project. U could buy a run down bike to work on

I was looking at a project for late high school students here, running a bike on those disposable 220g gas canisters.

could be fun, on a long stroke 500 eg. the Enfield.

Come up with a `backing it in` theory that holds water!!!!...................you`ll be popular....honest!

No use teaching folk who live in the dessert to swim  I've given folk the general idea ..... but you/they are terminal watchers ..... not doers ...... hence why you have no idea ...... skidding with the back brake .......

........ let me guess .... you were one of those kids on pushies who used to tell us that the "backing" part of "backing it in" pertained to using the back brake? cos thats how you skidded your bike? Yet in reality when we talked of backing it in we meant a tendency for the back to be trying to enter the corner before the front :rolleyes" terminal spectators! ....... no idea
<
still worth a good laugh though
