Who has how many engines left? Will it affect the championship?

On a side-note:
I've just read over on motogp.com that the penalties for the infringement of the max-engine-rule have been clarified:

- The rider will start from the back of the grid
- The constructor will be deducted 10 points from its standing in the constructors championship

It's still a big blow in the points for the rider though, in most cases even more severe, because the rider has to start from the back. That's what? 25 points minimal? And how many riders have we seen that can cut back a start from the back of the grid to being a front runner again? I still think it's crap to let a championship be decided in that way as in F1

Actually I can think of one rider that has started from the back of the pack and won a race, but generally speaking it's not going to happen is it, might as well save an engine!
This rule still sucks!

That is going to be the most closely guarded secret in the paddock!

You may be right but of course all of us want to know. I want to have a list in this thread to go by and I'll look around to see if there is any official publication. I'd welcome anyone else's info.

Well we know Capirex is down one now.

Nope the gear position sensor went so the motor is still okay. Top speed shows it is good also...

Okay a dead thread but wait until Valencia when everyone starts with a fresh engine that only has to last one race and the nerds jack the .... out of the CPU stuff. You'll see.

Whole engine rule seems to have been a non-issue thus far. I think a performance jack for the last race/last fresh engine is a given - probably more so for a couple of Spanish riders at home.

If I was a satellite rider I would say .... the engine rule and get a rebuild every race. What the hell is 10 points going to do when you have no shot at winning the the championship anyways. All you can do is go for race wins, it might actually get you on even ground as the factory bikes

Doubt it

Trouble is that you have to have your 6 engines tagged by Dorna so you are not able to rebuild. Most satellite teams just tune suspension the motors are off limits.

They are not bullet proof they are rebuilt every 600 kms maximum. The reason you don't see them blow up is because they are always basically a new engine every race. Do you think Yamaha is going into a race weekend without totally new engines? Hell where I live they have a big supertwins series and Ducati sponsor 2 848's. After every race the bikes are flown to Italy and stripped and returned ready to go. This is a .... series in nowhere'sville. Not MotoGP.

It has been theorized that the factory teams have detuned the engines to make them last. What Sack is saying is if your a sattelite team, dont detune your engine and hope for the best.As a matter of fact,up the tune on them and take the penalties as they come if you go over your engine allocation.

Absolutely, but fun of this sort's gonna be dampened by fuel limit... you can only tweak so much before you're pushin' the bike over the line! Still I'm sure savvy managers are plotting whatever strategy they can to promote their cause(s).

Hey guys, pay attention, the rules have changed. They don't loose 10 points they have to start at the back of the grid. Tuned or detuned engines, only the top riders will have a chance of doing anything from that position and they are all on factory rides.
