Nice to see James getting the test, fingers crossed they keep a Brit in GP and should do better on the Yam if by chance he gets offered the ride.

I think they will. For once, this year, its actually a good thing to have a british passport. Dorna have said they want a brit in motogp and Ellison is the only one left. I also think he is a big talent that will be very gratefull for a B bike instead of a D bike. No offence Peter Clifford.

It has also been rumored that Dorna want a Brit in the series so bad they have offered to pay a portion of Ellison's salary. I've heard a number around 400,000k, I'm not sure if that's in pounds, euros or US dollars. Either way, good for Ellison, he deserves a good ride. It's too bad his team is underfunded so he has to ride Dunlops again in 2006.

It seems Dunlop is making an effort, they are interested in MotoGP so it maybe turns out like bridgestone´s debut, they sucked at every track except a couple were they were better much than the Michelins (e.g. Tamada winning in Brazil and Japan last year), so he could have an advantage in some unusual situations.

If they are to have any success it will be at tracks where they have acquired loads of data from domestic series and Bridgestone and Michelin don't have as large of a presence. One track that was always notorious for being a Dunlop track is Laguna Seca.

Totally agree Ron! I think it would be great to have a Brit on a decent ride, maybe GP will then get better coverage it deserves over here

Wonder when we get to find out?

Ben.

JE has got this ride (hopefully)at just the right time as regards experience, age, fitness etc.I would expect him to be the best Brit in MGP since McWilliams.
