He was a WSBK champ after all. I am inclined to blame it on his bike, the Yamaha that has been designed just for Rossi.

"I'll be back at the front, insists Edwards." From crash.net http://www.crash.net/news_view~cid~6~id~144737.htm

So if Colin's bike was so awful and "Rossi'ish", how did Colin manage to top the timesheets during the off season? And how come he couldn't convert a 3rd qualifying position into a podium last round?

Apparently when they turned down the power to conserve fuel for the race, the bike bacame rubbish.

Edwards won't win at assen. He did well last year, but melandri, capirossi, gibernau were all injured from catalunya. Rossi decided to crash in qualifying.

He'll do ok here and there maybe 3-4 podiums. I'm sick of his big mouth, hes one guy who consistently over rates himself.

My boy Colin will have his best season yet I feel it in my heart! Although he qualified 3rd at Qatar and ended up 6th, it's still a respectable position. Unfortunately bad luck has plagued him more than mediocre skill IMO. I think Colin will be fighting for podiums consistently this year with the new 16" front, and hopefully will bag a couple wins. His best chances for victory this year will be at Laguna and Assen. I also think he'll do well at Phillip Island and Brno.

He rode well but still fell off and didn't make it to the end.

Yer kidding right? That was one of the best races of the series, one in which he played his cards just right.

Looks like bad grammar. The trouble with forums is that you can't detect the other persons tone so maybe you did mean win win instead of will win.

When he won by slipstreaming his way to the line?

Exciting I bet.

Phleg, that was the most incredible race of the entire season, that last lap was unbelievable. I am certain that had it been Rossi, Pedrosa and Capirossi instead of Rossi, Elias and Kenny you wouldn't have been saying that.

I have to agree

Simple and to the point Hector, thanks
<

I have to agree. The only award Colin's going to be picking up is the consistency award for 6th and 7th placed finishes.

Hayden isnt just gunna become crap all of a sudden dont underestamate him!!! just cos he had a crap start lol
<
remember he managed to beat rossdi he has to have some talent.

But i dont think that he beat him Fair and square.
If Rossi hadnt have been taken out and with out the tire problems at china, the engine problems at Le Mans and Laguna Seca he would of easily won .
Lol
