If Edwards stays within the top five or six on track and in the standings all season there's hardly a chance Yamaha or Michelin will let him go. He can certainly help Bridgestone/Kawasaki in tyre development. That's my serious response.

Given the fact that Kawasaki have a habit of hiring under achieving and over paid (Hopper) crap/crash riders (Jacque, West, Hoppers, De Puniet, Hoffman etc) then Colin is a shoo in!!
<

I actually like De Puniet, Nakano and Hoppers. But they're all crap development riders. Heck, why not? Colin's last season in motogp would make a good bookend to his career. He started on crap (Aprilla) and ended the same way!!!!

If I was him, I wouldn't be too eager to go anywhere now that he is finding some consistent success on a good team with an excellent bike.

Totally agree...he is out of Rossi's garage so he has a bit of breathing room and no pressure...

Crap is that twice in a matter of days that we agree? Oh no, Phleg's young brain is gonna split.

I would be surprised to see this, but it could be a very smart move by Kawasaki if it comes off.

I agree, it's not even worth the speculation at this point in the season. In fact, it's not even worth the speculation period.

I thought he had a contract with Tech3 for a couple more years.
Didn't he sign another contract earlier this year? Or am I dreaming????

They signed JT after the first 2 rounds. You need a donkey to do donkey work so I wont be surprised if he stays on the Yamaha.

i think the 1st thing edwards would want kawasaki to give him to sign with them would be a switch to michelins. theres no way he's gonna run on bridgestones. i better get my boots on... the .... is starting to get deep already.

I agree. Kwak run an I-4 and apparently Michelin still have the market cornered on front tire performance. They need to switch, or try something.

Hopper had 2.5 million reasons to switch to Kawasaki. Do you think they had Edward's attention when they came knocking? He knows he isn't going to win a championship and he doesn't have many years left in the tank. He needs a good retirement plan.

Ah hahaha. Was wondering when you would post a dig at poor old Col. You gotta admit though, he seems a bit re-energized at Tech 3. Hey, he may even get a few more podiums before its all said and done. (Will he sneak in a win, well I can't see the other Yami's ahead of him, but you never know).

Give the ride to something that deserves it, Edwards has proven nothing only that he is missing a few notches for this level of racing.
