I was just down at my local shop, I picked up a copy of MCN for a quick look and this was the main story they were running on the back page. I went on their website but could'nt a thing about it. Is this just typical MCN ........

Motogpmatters mentions it also....
I think Colin will get one more year, perhaps even on the factory Yamaha team to make room for a rookie. Ben Spies isn't leaving WSBK when he know's he can win the title in 2010.
Thus, finding Colin's replacement would be tough. He may have to take a performance based contract

yeh thats weird...i cant find anything bout it

I am really upset for Edwards lack of success in Gp racing...he is a huge talent but just wasn't able to outshine the others. It would probably be a good move for him at this stage of his career

Toseland will be gone before Edwards, although they will both probably be gone after this year.

Look to Melandri to take Toseland's ride as Spies probably will stay in SBK to make a title run.

Simoncelli, Bautista, Hayden, Hiroshi, et al are all names that will be up for rides next season.

Colin may stay if he keeps his #s up. He's a good points mule for the team standings.

But yeah, Colin to Aprilia WSB seems very, very unlikely. I don't think he or Haga have good memories riding their GP bike (which apparently is what they're running in SBK).

Think about this. Herve Poncheral already has said he wants Spies. So if that is the case and he just so happens to have a fellow texan on the team to help break the rookie in that is a huge help. Now JT sucks pretty bad right now and he may just make a move to a different team since the whole BBC thing and how JT being british he has a place in GP for a while. We can now refer to JT as the token Brit. So as far as the "team" goes they will have a much more balanced and cohesive team now that tehy have the two texans. With all the ........ between JT and Colin it doesn't bode well for JT especially since Herve already made his claim to want spies on the team. AND since BEN is on a YAMAHA right now and has to do this whole rookie rule thing not being able to go straight to a factory team it just plain makes perfect sence.

Having two sbk riders on your team sounds way more unbalanced than balanced.

FAIL

Who they need in the saddle is Spies and Hayden.

Another year at Ducati and Nicky's gonna end up being the next Biaggi.

Except it has an extra cylinder. From the reports I've read, Edwards' relationship with Aprilia is quite strong.

I`d love `im to win another WSBK cup before he slows down.

I can't see Edwards in GP for much longer. Yes, he's a consistent rider, but i feel like the 250cc guys will eventually push him out. The riders who gained experience through superbike and not through 125 and 250 just dont adapt as well to the 800s. I see Edwards, Hayden, and Toseland in World Superbike in the next few years.

Yeah...but is it the bike or rider?. I wonder how this 250 kids-Lorenzo and Pedrobot perform in WSBK. Well Max Biaggi is a 250 rider, but now in his third Year in WSBK and yet to see him as WSBK champion...

Can't really see Colin in motogp much after this year. I think JT may struggle to hold down a seat as well.
Seems like Tech 3 have got some really good factory support from Yamaha this year and I would think that both Poncheral and Yamaha will obviously want guys who can consistently run up at the sharp end.
There is gonna be a lot of good guys looking for seats next year and I am just not sure that the cost of running a team in this championship will allow JT or CE another season.

Be good to see CE back in WSBK for a year or two

In defense of Biaggi, he came in 3rd in his first year on a factory Suzuki. In his 2nd year, he rode injured and got throttled frequently. Still, he ended as the no.2 Ducati rider despite being on a satellite.

This year, considering how new the machine is, he's doing rather well. If the Aprilia gets sorted out, he may end up in the top 3 again
