Edwards out of season finale, and sadly, out of his last MotoGP race as a rider for the class as its currently known. He will also not be ready to test the new CRT BMW powered entry during the Valencia testing schedule.

Well tell us something we dont know, we dont need internet tabloids to tell us the obvious

What a .... way to bow out of your last ride in the MotoGP class

True bro. And to add, I count a very depleted grid at Valencia, it seems fitting end to a formula that was so screwed up.

Are you wishing or did you see it somewhere? He would be a good pick.

I've seen this rumour on twitter, apparently his leather company are the source.

It's a real shame for Colin that he is out of this race, even more so that the CRT project will be set back due to the testing lost. It's also sad that we might face such a small grid for the final race of the year, i just hope it's at least mildly entertaining. All things considered though my concern is for Colin to get well and get his head straight.

Oh well not the best way to finish but under the circumstances I'm sure CE would welcome the brake to regroup.

Let me be the first to point out that Povol correctly predicted this selection. I was very quick to poo poo Pov when he suggested Hayes as a replacement.

Egg on my face...nicely done Pov!
It just made sense, he was going to be there anyway. Popular American replaces popular American. Here is another prediction, he might crash, but he will not quit.

To be fair, i think i was calling for Hayes to replace Lorenzo. I would have to revisit the conversation

Hayes will do good but I was reading that he expects nothing...esp after seeing BB do such a crappy job at Laguna. He even stated that even Spies who won the WSBK title and was the .... out there didn't really accomplish much.... when he moved up to GP. So atleast he knows this is not going to be a picnic but he rides a bike loose and fast and without electonics and that might just be a good combo if they can't get the electonics to work good, cuz from what I read a lot its the electonics that most riders have to get used to and have troubles with and make the bike work good, so who knows but whatever the outcome he has a ride..........wish we were all that LUCKY!!!

What do you mean by that? I thought Edwards has already secured a contract for the next year and will ride a BMW for a new team, or do you mean the name of 1000cc serie will be different?

Well if he can make the stones to stick and can't get the electronics to work to it's potential in the lil time he has, that what I am saying he is able to ride a loose bike.....he likes it like that and I think he will be comfortable on the bike real quick.

Thats nice but the Yamaha 800 is not a bike best ridden loose, relatively speaking. He'd probably have more success if he smoothed things out

Typical Collie. Glad he's over the what-else-could-I-have-done-to-avoid-it thing and on the road to physical recovery. 37 and goin' strong... lookin' forward to seeing you next year buddy!
